Ok book, but kind of dragging it on *major spoilers! *

I got this book on the release date, and was so excited when it came. However, I feel like the characters are too generic and… how do I put this….boring? I couldn’t really connect or become as attached to the characters in this book as the ones in Power of Three or the Broken Code. Sunbeam seemed too desperate and clingy and honestly, like she didn’t even belong in the protagonist role, Flamepaw was the exact same as every other Thunderclan apprentice protagonist before him, and Frostpaw was basically the 90th nervous apprentice candidate. The characters now just seem too bland and not very memorable.
There didn’t really seem to be a major point to the story either. Usually there is a major discovery in one of the books that leads to something, And there WAS a major discovery, don’t get me wrong. When Starclan revealed that CurlFeather was going to be leader, I was so relieved that the mess was finally over. But NO, she just HAD a to somehow die, and the book ended right back where it started. I can’t really say until Sky is released wether there was actually a point to this disappointing plot or not, but I do feel a bit like I wasted my time.
To tie this all in, I feel as if the Erin’s (or Working Partners; I don’t even know what to say anymore) are dragging this on too long without reason. I get that they want to release new content, but if you don’t have a good enough storyline and excuse for making over EIGHTY books, there’s not really a point. However, I can’t say I hated the Riverclan conflict. I actually really liked it and it had (and still has) a lot of potential.
