1.0 out of 5 starsNot fun, not a comedy

We love William Jackson Harper, but it's not a Romantic Comedy. It's a sad story about a couple who break up, make up and break up again. No happy ending. Marketing it as a RomCom is a bad move. Not sure who would want to spend time watching this sad story, but certainly not anyone looking for a Romantic Comedy.

Really lovely movie, very well done. The only flaw, besides it getting a little sit-commy at points, is that Aya Cash is so good she tends to outshine her scene partners. William Jackson Harper is a fine actor, but he comes off as just a boring dude when set against Aya Cash's performance. Still, a great film; it manages to be sweet and real and not overly sentimental, even when it descends to certain rom-com conventions. Definitely recommend it.

I really wanted to like this movie but I couldn't even finish it. I think it could have been better. It seemed like there was potential.
