I appreciate the idea of the story, but there are too many negative issues with this movie. The acting was mediocre at best. The sound quality was awful. It was very difficult to hear much of the dialog because of the poor sound quality. I have a 7-1 system and tried multiple modes...it never got better.

There were several goofy things that happened. In one section shoes/boots are removed by the two main characters and 2 scenes later, the shoes are on again with no explanation. I would be more specific, but I don't want to add any spoilers for those that would still like to watch the movie. There are plenty of over-the-top scenes from an over-acting perspective. There was virtually no budget for any special effects..it was a very low-budget film.

If not for the pandemic, I would not have rented this movie, but there is very little little new content to watch.

Plot of having a critical planner of Normandy invasion flying solo over Nazi occupied territory is not believable. Like several of the other reviews, there were several disconcerting miscues, for example, the woman gives her rifle to her sidekick, leaves with the Brit and still has the rifle, then it dissapears again back to the sidekick. Not good.

In the beginning of the movie I was picking apart the sound and some of the other aspects of the production but when I began to understand what the movie was about my criticisms went away. One of the criticisms from another viewer was about them removing their clothing and later in other scenes they had there clothes back without explanation. I guess i missed that because by then I had realized the movie was about the life of hell they went through in Europe through WWI and WWII to prevent one evil man from concurring the entire continent. Most other movies that I would view as being pure entertainment, I would be extremely critical about the production quality.
In a nutshell it was a good story.

Sadly, very low-budget and moves as slowly as watching starved grass grow.

The actors are well-meaning, but it is sometimes painful to watch. The fight scenes look like half-speed sparring at a junior karate dojo. And the German SS troops patrol and react like raw recruits, if that. Throw in a few continuity errors that you actually notice.

Watch a documentary and learn something else instead. The team tried here, but . . .

I loved the realities of the ins and outs of the realities of war... 1) disagreements on how to move forward with plans... plans never go as scripted and that is the way of war; 2) the emotional issues of loss of family; 3) excitement of engagement with the enemy; 4) hair-raising moments of intrigue and surprises; 5) fighting in the resistance was harsh, and often required cold-blooded decisions with friends and enemies.
Movies that reflect more of the realities of war are not the blockbuster, constant action Rambo types. Being a hero was often an ugly business. This one displayed the often harsh choices and had a great plot line. Well done, in spite of some sound-glitches.

The movie moves slowly but the drama needs to cover only about 48 hours and the slowness of the movie helps to build the true natures, hearts, and characters of the people in the Brits, Germans, and Resistance. The opening is oddly formulated but it does set the motive for the heroism. The filming is a B-Movie but with a good A- plot and meaning for the end of the Hitler regime.

It only took five minutes to realize that this was a story being portrayed by play actors. Not actors, but play actors. The director should stick with his other daytime job. One mistake after another. A JU-52 landing at a RAF base?
The story line is interesting, too bad that the director did such a poor job I am going to go wash my hair.

The main character--special ops guy (SOE)--is really quite engaging, as is his daughter and their relationship. What spoiled it a bit for me is the priest and Resistance girl are not native French speakers. Might watch the last quarter of the movie. I didn't think the acting, overall, was terrible.

yawned my way through a very run of the mill film . It must have been made a very thin budget . Clearly no effort to make it look like France or anything French . South of England Crow Hall used as French Chateau. Couldn’t have looked more English if it had tried .
The acting was lethargic . I’ve seen more urgency by 70 year olds pushing a supermarket trolley on a Saturday morning in Tesco.
Utter Rubbish, Waste of time . I wish I could send it back . Destined for the charity shop tomorrow. If I could give it no stars I would .
Stick to the dancing on Strictly Kelvin .
