You never know...

With "faith" based or Christian movies, sometimes they are not well made or acted, and sometimes they don't ease people into the story of faith gracefully or artfully. This movie is in the winner category for speaking to the beauty of faith and love in a most endearing way. I thought all of the actors were great.

Good faith movie

Crystal Bernard is a charming person as well as a bit unorthodox. There were themes in this picture that could have been developed - the antagonist wanted to be the pastor but his position keeps changing - her son is talented as a basketball player but doesn't fit the flow of the script. His coach has an interest with Crystal but yet not a like you or even a kiss. It is a wholesome script and an example of faith and community spirit. It is nice to see a woman pastor for a change.

Welcome to Paradise, a Good Movie to Relax By

I enjoyed Welcome to Paradise. The entire cast had personality plus and the story line was enjoyable. It wasn't entirely predictable. For instance, I thought the story was going in one direction when it took a surprise turn in a different direction. I won't give it away, but it was a great surprise! I look forward to watching it again. It's believable and a good movie to relax by.

Good Try, BUT . . .

This would have been a wonderful movie except for two things. The timing was so, so off. The big gaps between sentences and conversations remind one of an elementary school production where students forget their lines and instead give a big gap-toothed grin to fill in the silences. The minister was not a good speaker. She was the one who started the big silences between sentences and didn't repent through the entire film. However, the story was there and could have been presented very much better. Keep trying to tighten up the editing and the director will finally have a good product!

Determined to survive

Reflects the strength and determination of those who want to reach their community for Christ, regardless of what anyone else says or thinks. Strong female lead but writing for her character did not match caliber of actress.

Wonderful story of how a community comes together when faced with challenges. Lead character demonstrates as a pastor the real meaning of Christian love to others, including the homeless.

Different but enjoyable...

This movie was different than most but enjoyable if you have an open mind, if you're Christian &/or don't mind religion of course . To me the main actress did a very good job, not just her but everyone else too.
