Terrible! My puppy is pretty small so I thought I would cut the bits in half. While cutting I found glass-not just a small shard-but multiple shards plus bits of very sharp bones. I would never buy this nor would I ever recommend it. We will be contacting Wellness Pet Foods as soon as they are open. I'm only giving 1 star as amazon will not allow a post with zero.

Terrible! My puppy is pretty small so I thought I would cut the bits in half. While cutting I found glass-not just a small shard-but multiple shards plus bits of very sharp bones. I would never buy this nor would I ever recommend it. We will be contacting Wellness Pet Foods as soon as they are open. I'm only giving 1 star as amazon will not allow a post with zero.

Strange things in this..

I usually buy these from Petco and cut them up into tiny bits for my small pup. Recently, I bought some from amazon instead, and when I was cutting them up, I kept getting my little scissors stuck on these weird hard pieces...I have no idea what they are or why they’re in the product, maybe I got a stale bag? Anyway my scissors wouldn’t even cut through those little things. I ripped some out to show in a pic, have a look. They're a little bit smaller than grains of rice. The treats themselves seem totally normal..smells normal, normal texture and moisture content I’m used to from cutting up previously purchased bags at the store... Like, they seem fresh, they don’t appear to be stale..i just can’t figure out why else these rock-solid granular bits are inside. Very weird.By gh0stbunny on February 14, 2020

The ingredients are quite good with lamb and salmon being the first two. These are quite healthy and small enough that they won't pack on the pounds even if I give my dog a few a day. the price is steeper than mega bags of treats but with questionable ingredients so I am OK with it. I especially would be careful if my dog were still a puppy as their digestive systems are still developing.
I have not had any issues with my dog having watery stools or gas as I have read in some reviews. It may be because she is older or it just may be how some dogs and puppies react to certain ingredients. My dog loves these treats and is happy with two or three a day. I wish I could buy them in a bigger quantity but I suppose that would defeat the purpose of keeping my dog's treat level down so she doesn't get fat. I am pleased with these for the ingredients and my dog loves them for the texture and taste. I would feed a puppy these treats and feel good about it. Naturally, if the puppy had any digestive side effects, I would stop using them. But if not, I would treat my puppy without guilt because these are healthy snacks.

My Yorkie is no longer a puppy at 4 years old but she likes very small chewy treats. She has been gaining weight because the treats I give her are larger and I thought these Wellness Soft Puppy Bites may be a good treat for her IF she liked them. She is oh so picky. This bag of treats is small but there are quite a few little square softish treats in there. They are a bit bigger than a dime (see photo) and soft. It doesn't take much to chew these. My puppy cannot get enough of these...he goes nuts for them. I started buying Wellness food on the recommendation of my vet and several other people as he was really little when we got him - 'the runt' of the litter - and now he is thriving so I figured we would stick to the brand with the treats.Reviewed in Canada on October 26, 2016
I am wondering if this company puts something in these as my ordinarily sweet and snuggly little toy Australian Shepherd completely loses it when he sees the package or we even go near the area the treats are kept. He actually got the treats and took them into his bed and it was an ordeal trying to get them away from him - see attached picture.
These are excellent training treats. I cannot recommend them highly enough. Five stars.
In addition I did research on this brand (I have a coworker who had a pet die due to contaminated/recalled pet food and this is a concern for me) and wellness has an excellent track record. These treats have never been recalled so far as I have been able to see.
