Amazon Instant Video buyer beware - Amazon version is about 90 minutes as advertised - but the Youtube version gives you about 4 extra minutes - believe me 4 extra minutes will not make this movie great, but it would be nice to know what I missed. There is a song from the movie that is not in the Amazon Video version - again it will not make the movie great. I was 6 years old when the movie came out and never saw it. So now 60 years later after seeing The Great Locomotive Chase on Amazon video I thought this one would live up to the first. It is not bad, just not great as Davy Crockett and Fess Parker's other movies. I gave it a 3 star and I am very grateful I did not purchase it because I would never have gotten my money's worth.

Haven't seen WESTWARD HO THE WAGONS since it first came out in 1956 and it was a delight to see it again. Fess Parker and Jeff York are paired together again after playing Davy Crockett and Mike Fink for Disney plus several Mouseketeers from the original Mickey Mouse Club are featured along with David Stollery, who was Marty in "Spin and Marty." Some may find the film cheesy or dated but to me it was a nice trip back down memory lane and a good way to spend 90 minutes on family friendly entertainment.

Why did you cut “Wringle, Wrangle” from the version for rent? Otherwise I was surprised at the quality of the film and especially the casting.

This Movie is Not in Widescreen as it should be. But the original running time of an hour and 94 minutes is excellent.

I like stories of the early USA.

I remembered this movie from when I was 13 or 14; however I didn't remember that it was a Disney movie. It was a good movie and I really liked Fess Parker. Jeff York was good in this movie, but I remembered him from the Disney Zorro series. I may rent it again sometime and pay more attention to the theme.

This is a lesser-known Disney movie about a wagon train heading out West to settle new homes as they face new dangers and learn to live peacefully among Indians. Some fun, catchy tunes and a cast with some regular Disney favorites. I recommend to fans of wholesome, classic movies!

A little slow, but a good family friendly Disney movie. I wish Disney made modern family movies like this today.
