About the authors
Alex Azar is an award winning author bred, born, and raised in New Jersey. He had aspirations beyond his humble beginnings, goals that would take him to the skyscrapers of Metropolis and the alleys of Gotham. Alex was going to be a superhero. Then one tragic day, tragedy tragically struck. He remembered he wasn't an orphan and by law would only be able to become a sidekick. Circumstances preventing him from achieving his dream, Alex's mind fractured and he now spends his nights writing about the darkest horrors that plague the recesses of his twisted mind and black heart. His days are filled being the dutiful sidekick the law requires him to be, until he can one day be the hero the world (or at least New Jersey) needs.
Alex was first published in 2010, and he's since published over a dozen short stories, including his award winning collection "Nightmare Noir." Alex is a two time winner of the Preditors & Editors Best Horror Short Story of the year. Alex lives with his wife and their two cats, Leonidas and Miles Davis.
Justin Hunter lives with his beautiful wife and four adopted boys in Missouri, USA. His publishers include Crazy Ink, Hybrid Sequence Media, Morbidbooks, JWK Fiction, J Ellington Ashton Press, Severed Press, and many more. He is an award winning screenwriter.
Marianne Reese lives in Nevada, and is married to the man of her dreams. They have two remarkable daughters, and three absolutely beautiful granddaughters, and an adorable grandson. She worked as a police dispatcher until her retirement after 26 years of service. She enjoys boating, hiking, and traveling across country with her husband on their motorcycle. Not only does she love to write books, but she also loves to read, especially paranormal and fantasy.
If you have questions or comments, you can contact Marianne Reese at mreeseauthor@gmail.com.

Mark Towse is an Englishman living in Australia. He would sell his soul to the devil or anyone buying if it meant he could write full-time. Alas, he left it very late to begin this journey, penning his first story since primary school at the ripe old age of 45. Since then, he's been published in the likes of Flash Fiction Magazine, Cosmic Horror, Suspense Magazine, ParABnormal, Raconteur, and his work has also appeared three times on The No Sleep Podcast and on many other excellent productions such as The Grey Rooms. His first collection, ‘Face the Music,’ has just been released by All Things That Matter Press and is available via Amazon, Dymocks, B&N, etc.
Look out for his story, 'Devil's Ink' in Midnight in the Pentagram from Silver Shamrock.

R.C. Bowman is an Amazon-bestselling horror writer. She is a featured author on Curious Fictions and a contributor to the world-famous Nosleep Podcast. Charlotte O’Farrell is a horror writer. A lifelong fan of the genre, she writes about all manner of the weird and wonderful. Her stories have appeared in anthologies and podcasts.
She writes daily flash fiction on Twitter (@ChaOFarrell) and Facebook (@AuthorCharlotteOFarrell). She lives in the East Midlands of England with her husband, daughter and cat.
Carlton Herzog publishes supernatural horror, science fiction and crime stories, as well as non-ficiton. His fiction portrays characters who are outsiders to ordinary life. Filled with strange terrors and brutal absurdities, his writing bends reality until it cracks. He is a USAF veteran with B.A. magna cum laude and J.D. from Rutgers. He served as Articles Editor of the Rutgers Law Review.
He had this to say about writing: “Writing is to the mind what exercise is to the body. I love the process from start to finish. Editorial acceptance, monetary remuneration, and public approval are nothing when compared with the irreplaceable feeling of personal accomplishment. Writing is a stroll through the insubstantial country of my mind. A land where I can see reflections of myself that are more me than anything I can find in a mirror or the eyes of others. it is an introcosm where I am truly free to see what I have done and yet may do, home to all my disappointments and discoveries, rememberings and reveries."

“The Old Oak Tree” by Mark Towse—well written mystery about the drowning and murder of a suspected witch.
“Skin Deep” by Erica Schaef—is it possible for a zombie to kill for love? Creepy good.
“Pressing Matters” by Edward Palumbo—Enjoyed the campy writing style encompassing a mysterious death, seance, and zombies.
“On Golden Wings of Love” by Carlton Herzog —Bullies should think twice when messing with the love of a nephilim/angel.
“His Angel” by Marianne Reese — Every parents nightmare! OMG! One of the shortest stories, but gripping and scary with a true-to-life ‘monster’. A good reminder to be aware of your surroundings.
“If At First You Don’t Succeed...” by Joshua Boliard — creepy...makes one think twice about dating someone they don’t know.
“Better” by R.C. Bowman and G.R. Dauvois — brings new meaning to the old saying ‘love hurts’. The story is a bit long, but well written.
