From Wall Street Journal best-selling author Nicole Snow comes a new small-town stand-alone romance loaded with hilarious banter, suspense, and enemies-to-lovers heat.
Gorgeous devil. Hate-worthy. Instant enemy. What's a girl to do when the man she can't stand plays hero?
It's fitting that his name's a four-letter word. Holt Silverton had me spoiling for a fight the second we met. He actually thought I'd sell my ranch - to him - in what universe? Oh, I know his reputation. It's mud here in little old Heart's Edge. He can spare me his pretty words and Hercules good looks.
I'd rather chew nails than get roped up in anything with him. I ain't giving up my home, my inheritance, or my horses. Not even if I desperately need the cash when trouble comes calling. But there are two things I didn't count on.
Holt's as stubborn as a bull. He's also hiding a rough-and-tumble country boy behind that big-city suit. Everything flips upside down the day he says he'll help save my land. Lucky me.
I can't let anybody uncover the secret on my property. Not even gorgeous stallions turning "I hate you" into "What are we doing?". The way Holt kisses proves he's no white knight. Do I dare let a dark knight in?
A rogue of a man plays for keeps when he collides with a determined small-town firecracker. A banter-filled enemies-to-lovers thriller. Full-length stand-alone romance novel with all the hell-yeah happily ever afters.

Libby Potter is 27yo, lives alone on her family ranch which is going into foreclosure if she can’t find a way to make some money…fast. Her sister Sierra and her sleazy boyfriend show up to insist that Libby sell off some of her, well, their property for a shopping mall. Libby is furious enough but then Holt Silverton shows up in his Mercedes and big-city high-dollar suit to persuade her to sell. Uh-uh, he didn’t go and do that! This was a very funny scene.
Forty-year-old Holt is trying to establish himself in Heart’s Edge as a developer/builder. His past reputation is a hurdle for many in this small town but for Libby, it’s a wall. There is sexual tension but she’s not falling for it. Oh. My. Word. Their back-and-forth dialogue is scintillating, beguiling and tingling ;-) When you find out about his foray into the NYC scene, you will actually feel bad for Holt. This was a turning point for him. Holt is a man who knows his short comings but does not fear to charge ahead, no knight’s steed required. When he brings to bear his protective shield for Libby, he becomes her white knight.
There is so much intrigue, bad guys in disguise, a ghost town, a long-ago murder, a mystery, a strange but revered rock and the magical love brewing between Liberty Jane and Holt. Love the tribute to the four hometown heroes. Loved the OMG moment in chapter XIV and from then on too…Beautiful ending as always. I hope the Heart’s Edge people are still clamoring for their own story in Ms. Snow’s head because I don’t want to see them go.
I volunteered to review an ARC of this book and it comes highly recommended. It gets a galaxy of stars!
That said, I very much enjoyed this whole series, so far, which I read in sequence after getting hooked on Warren and Haley's story. And I do highly recommend them for a very good read.
I do wish, however, that Ms Nicole would acquire the services of a competent proofreader! Her non/inaccurate use of commas kept me having to reread sentences to find what she really meant, and I find that extremely irritating. When you put a product out for sale, you owe it to your buyers to make the item as 'perfect' as possible.
Otherwise...nice, long, complex stories with very likable characters. READ THEM!
I actually haven't read the other books in this series so I was fascinated by Heart's Edge and specifically Ursa, that part of the story really held my interest. I may have to look into the other books in this series.

There are no grammatical or editorial errors.
There are loads of sex scenes each of them appropriate and loving, if a bit repetitive.
It's exactly what it promised in the blurb, there are some quite slow moments, with a bit too much tell and not enough show, so at some points the story drags a little, however it does make up for it with a big showdown.
I thought the characterisation was good, but that Holt was a bit wishy washy and naive for a forty year old man. As for Libby, the character felt way too aggressive for comfort, there didn't seem to be a conversation she didn't turn into a shrew. I get that as a strong woman having to carry a heavy load for years could make her defensive and her nature made her one of life's fighters but that doesn't mean she would be such a bitch ALL the time.
Anyhooose, I've read the series and have enjoyed it, it provided what I purchased it for, an escape from reality for a little while, but I don't think I will continue to purchase other books by this author, at least for a while. After the first few books the plotline feels much the same as any other and it's time me to change it up a bit by looking for other authors I've not yet read but that shouldn't put anyone off the book because I did award five stars for a reason 😊

I so love Hearts Edge. Absolutely adored Holt and Libbys' story.
Loved their storyline and their connection with each other. Loved that she was such a wildcat and yet she had a heart of gold deep down.
Loved how Sierra came back into the family fold and that all went well with the farm and Ursa.
Really a great story.
