Thirty and single? Well, getcha butt to the Gathering!
Whitney Wickham is at the darned annual werewolf Gathering all right. Only there's one problem: she doesn't belong there. Her sisters carry the Mark indicating they'll mate an Alpha Pair of wolves, while Whitney does not have that lovely, swirling scar. She's been hauled half way around the world to be stared at, and not-so-covertly sniffed, for no reason. Unfortunately, the gorgeous, drool worthy, magic-mojo-wielding Wardens don't know why she's been summoned to the Gathering any more than she does. Which sucks. But at least they're hot.
Emmett Greene and Levy Walters are Wardens - keepers of the law and embodiment of the magic of the werewolves. They can never mate, never marry, and never form a lasting romantic relationship. It's a hard and fast law that keeps their powers pure of outside influence.
Rules are going to be broken.
One look at Whitney, one hint of her scent, and they realize their immovable laws might have to jiggle. She's got luscious curves, a wicked smile, and a mouth that would make a thousand men weep. No matter the rules, their inner wolves will claim her. The only things standing in their way are the Elder Wardens who will do anything...anything...to keep Emmett and Levy from discovering the truth: the laws are wrong. And being with Whitney Wickham is so very, very right.

I’m still wondering where Celia Kyle got the idea that 30 year old women talk like stereotypical, airheaded, hormonal 15 year olds. I'm 26 and I don't even talk like the Wickham sisters do in these books. I am still not big on the female-on-female misogyny. I’ve come to dislike the lead female characters in this book for this reason in addition to the misogynistic attitudes they express. There are a few reasons for why I don't like the Wickham sisters, but these particular reasons are at the top. The Wickham sisters are incredibly immature for their ages. Though Whitney behaved a little more maturely in this story, she is still as immature as she was in Book 1 and Book 2. Honestly, I was actually hoping that all of the lead females would be killed off – mainly Scarlet for her constant belittling of the wolves and her just overall smugness and immaturity. Alpha Mate or not, her attitude towards the wolves is just not attractive. I often hoped a wolf would shift and rip her to bits - and that’s something I’ve never hoped for reading a book, but this one made me hope so much for it. Just kill them all off and let the male characters get together in a happy, gay orgy.
Next have these adults ever opened a dictionary? Has Celia Kyle ever opened a dictionary? When adults still refer to sex frequently as “boinking” or "nooky", or use words like "icky" to express their feelings about having sex where their sisters have done it, I wonder if they should be having sex at all. It just sounds so childish and ridiculous, and it's not funny or cute. There’s a reason for why people say “Babies should not have babies”. Celia may as well refer to a man's penis as his "wee-wee". Also, who refers to the labia majora as “sex lips”? Even romance/erotic novels from the early 20th Century don’t do that. It's a bit of a mood killer. And why do all of the males refer to their mates as “sweet” or “love” or “baby”. I know they’re common pet names for couples but could we have a little diversity? I kept feeling like I was reading "Scarlet" and "Gabriella" over again.
I also find it annoying when writers write a series and then give the names of locations – such as the name of the hotel in the story - in the third or fifth story. That would have been something to do in the very first story. Also, last I read, Hannah did not challenge Gabriella for the right to mate Jack and Berke. She just wanted Berke. It’s a little frustrating when a writer can’t remember the names of her own characters or the plots of her own stories. There also seemed to be a lot of unanswered questions and too many short explanations left in this "book" and the previous "book". What about the Warden Born? What’s their story? Also why don’t the human women turn into werewolves when bitten? Is the werewolves' existence a primarily a biological one tinged with supernatural origins? If the women give birth is the child a hybrid? How are they able to shift into wolves if they have a human mother and a wolf father? I’m hoping they’ll be answered in the next "book" but I’m not going to hold my breath. Even if you write a fantasy story, it still has to adhere to the rules of reality or else it’s not believable.
These stories are way too short for all of the info Celia Kyle keeps packing into them. These would have just been better as one big book since they feature the same characters and are basically the same stories but rehashed or further expanded. It's the same – according to the plot summaries on the book backs - with the next three books, and when I read them I'll review them as well. But I am not growing into a Celia Kyle fan if this really is the best she can do. Then again, with the trash that is "50 Shades" sitting on every bookstore shelf and much of the (primarily female) population's bookshelves, it seems anyone can scribble something down and submit it to be published - and it will be published because it doesn't seem any of these authors ever got a note telling them to re-read and revise - regardless of how silly, cheap or stupid the work is.
Emmett & Levy are the Ruling Wardens & they were taught that they’d never get a mate.
But, the teachers are evil & tainted & fate decided a different outcome for this Gathering. But, you’ll have to read the book to find out what that outcome is.
Whitney finally gets to see the annoying arrogant Warden Alpha’s and ask them what the hay is up with them summoning her to the gathering. It is a mistake that she was summoned. She does not have a darn mark.
The Warden boys are Alpha badasses. They have magic mixed in to uphold the laws. But what all three didn’t realize is that the Warden can mate and she is there’s.
Whitney as she puts it has been turned into a damn glow stick! I loved how she kept referencing to her new acquired power of awesome. What she did not realize is that it put a deadly price on her head.
When her boys wake and this girl is not in their room I thought the hotel was going to crumble. Never piss off an Alpha wolf with powers. It was scary.
“Can you tell them I am fine?” She echoed his volume. The man gave her a deadpan look. Ass. “Howl at them or something. Don’t you have a werewolf bat-signal or something?” His expression didn’t change did change. “Seriously, you got nothing?”
Now let’s talk about the boys. Emmett Green is hot, gruff, and very possessive of his girl. He loved saying “Mine!” From the moment she tells him to bite her when she was pissed off he took her up on the offer. I was in stiches. This man is HOT!
Levy Walters is the more reserved as the two. He is sexy, sweet, and only states the facts until Whitney throws him for a tailspin. He doesn’t know what to do when he realizes that everything he’s known is a lie and that Whitney is his mate. All he knows is he will die protecting his girl.
Whitney Wickham received a summons to attend the werewolf Gathering along with her marked sisters. The Gathering is for marked females to find their alpha pair whether they like it or not. Fortunately for her sisters they did not like it but found hot alpha pairs anyway, so it all ended well for them. Unfortunately for Whitney it was like salt in the wound, she has always dreamed of being the mate of an alpha pair but she is not marked so it was not meant to be. Hence her anger at not being able to pin down the Wardens Emmett Greene and Levy Walters to determine why they made the mistake of making her attend the Gathering.
Although Whitney is unmarked Emmett and Levy know she is their mate by scent (of course we are talking werewolves, did you expect something different). To find she is unmarked leaves them just as puzzled. They have to decide if they are willing to disregard tradition to mate their unmarked mate.
This was a cute read and I am glad I read it. I mean I had to know what happened with sister three. Sad to say I did like book one and two way better (you can check out my previous reviews). I do not know if it was the build up or if I had read this one first if I would have felt different but hey, I feel what I feel. Most of the conflict was external and because of the mystical infliction (I will not ruin the reveal for you) it lead to her mates, sisters and sisters mates trying to figure out what was wrong with her and not enough romance, if they had called me I could have told them.
Straight to the Swagger: Decent read, not mad I bought it. I just wish it was as funny as the first two. I just loved Whitney so much in the other books and looked forward to her getting her story, so no matter what I am glad she got her HEA.

The Wardens are Emmett Greene and Levy Walters, they are the keepers of the law and embodiment of the magic of the werewolves. They are not allowed to mate or marry ever. But they have been paired with Whitney and they inner wolves want to claim her. Rules are going to be broken.
The Elder Wardens are standing in the way and will do anything to stop them.
Will the pairing happen? Will Whitney get what Scarlet & Gabriella has?
I have loved learning about the Wickham Triplets and would recommend this series.

The books made me laugh out loud and were witty and well written.
This one, however, was far from that......... I felt that it was written purely because Whitney had been mentioned as one of the Wickham sisters, therefore she needed a story of her own. Don't get me wrong, the sex scenes were hot!!! But the plot felt rushed, ill thought through, and frankly was pretty crap!!
I felt as though Kyle had written it as an afterthought and not put much thought into it at all and was so bad I had to write something!! Seriously..if you can get it free...fine....but don't waste your money on it.... :((

All of the sisters were just a bit annoying too, their personalities did not come across well at all.
I won't be reading the rest of the books in this series.
