Bought the ecard as a gift. My friend was not able to use it. I called wholefoods and they said that the card was used in California and had a $0 balance. (We live in Michigan). Since it was an unauthorized purchase, Wholefoods is replacing the ecard with a regular card that will be sent in the mail. I don't trust ecards anymore but I'm super thankful Wholefoods was helpful. I think heremail must have been hacked or something?

Do not buy this product!!! If an error occurs (i.e. the card is not valid or it has already been claimed), then neither Amazon nor Whole Foods will refund you your money. Both Amazon and Whole Foods will treat you like a human ping pong ball. They will blame each other and deny you your refund. Amazon should not be selling this product because they will not refund you your money back if it does not work. Horrible experience!!!
The link to get the gift card number did not work for me. Seems like a technical issue. I wrote to Amazon who directed me to contact Whole Foods. I did. Whole Foods asked me the gc number I said I couldn't get it due to an error of the link. I then contacted Amazon again, and they don't seem to know the issue. I have to tell them many times that I could not get my gc number. Finally after weeks of effort I got this message: " Hello,
I'm so sorry, but we can't offer any additional insight or action on this matter. We appreciate your business and hope to see you again soon. "
Had an egift card for $50 sent to me, and checking out at WF, it had a zero balance. I found out through calling the WF gift card line that it was used in Virginia. I live in Michigan, as does the sender.
I am a stay at home mom of twins and trying to keep a budget for food, so I thought this would be a great tool. I have been reloading weekly and have had a couple of issues. The first issue was that it only showed a balance of $14 when I had just checked the balance and it was over 150.00. The last time I used it was probably the last. I was told that I could not use an egift card and the manager was called over to double check. I was asked where I got the gift card from and they seemed suspicious. I was able to use it but I do not appreciate the treatment. I have spent thousands at Whole Foods and Amazon over the past years and this is ridiculous. I will be doing my grocery shopping somewhere else from now on.
It's not working and I'm on the phone with customer service now. When I go to the wholefoods website to check the balance and put in the codes, it says invalid. Customer service just kept me waiting for an hour after saying "I'll be right back," but I think they just hoped I would hang up eventually. $100 lost.
