Finally everything is resolved

The wait is over for me to read this book 6 long years after reading the others before this. I can't say I'm not glad that the story is finally finished, but now after reading it, I am sort of disappointed as to how the story and the plot unraveled and where they had led to. I'd imagined something more after all the chaos and climactic actions in the forth book but to me, nothing much more happened in this finale. I wasn't frightened for the characters,wasn't at the edge of my seat hoping everyone would end up okay. I'm sorry to say that the authors did not make me relate to the characters and feel the emotions that they were dealt with or the tragic events that they had to fight. I loved this series and had hoped for a great battle in this last book but sadly I felt it was lackluster than the rest. Thanks to amazon for having this novel in stock earlier than the supposed release date and the fast shipping. Thanks to the authors for finally finishing this series. I read it because I love books and I wanted to know what the ending had in store for my favourite characters no matter if it was good or bad. Because books take me to a whole different world and it just wouldn't be the same if I had made up my own story or ending of my characters. So to the fans of this series, read it to fulfill your curiousity and because you want to be taken to where your characters are and for closure to the story because that's what it was for me.

What a Waste of Time, Paper, and Ink

Wow, the other books were decent, better than the Twilight Series but this book was horrendous. The only redeeming quality was it ended the series. Everything else was terrible.

This final chapter of the story of the Cahors witches, Holly, Amanda and Nicole, was a big let down. It was like the authors had no idea of how to finish up all the plot twists in the previous novels so they just started grasping at the first thing they could think of.

First of all, they were SO off base with the myths and legends of the God and Goddess that the reader is left thinking "Where the heck did this come from". Taking a little creative license is okay but going so far off base is not.

I think the biggest turn off for me, is that the authors are literally pushing their religious beliefs down the reader's throats, or at least it sure seems like that. Honestly, tying Christianity and the God/Goddess belief together was really nauseating. Come on, Merlin was the fourth Wiseman???

Then, there were so many different types of mythical creatures that the pages were really crowded. There were so many crowded together with their Christian Wisemen being portrayed as wizards (yes all of them) it made a very sloppy story line.

One of my biggest complaints with the previous 2 books was the frequent jumping around from one character's thoughts to another's. It doesn't seem possible but there was actually more of that going on in this book. Some pages jumped to 3 points of view, all in the span of one page! It is very obvious the authors did not pay any attention to their reader's previous comments for the very same thing in the other two books. I really do not understand why they felt it was necessary to do this.

And finally, the ending was terrible. What a let down. After all the battles, all the buildup, I was expecting a good ending but it was as if the authors just did not know how to end it so they slapped on whatever came to mind, kill the bad guys, resurrect the good guys, and send the two lovers off in La La Land together.

I was really torn between giving this a 1 star rating and a 2 star rating. I decided on the 2 stars "only" because I wanted to see how the series ended and the technical aspect of the writing is decent.

I do not recommend buying this book. But, if you are like me and want to see how it ends, then consider buying it used. It really isn't worth the new book price.

I really enjoyed this series. This book was really rushed. I wanted to know the ending but I felt like there was so much more that could have been there I kind of felt cheated. This is a great book if you want to read the same book as you preteen and a topic started. My daughters and I do it all the time. Gives us something to bond over. This series is for sure a way to go

It was exciting and became one of those books that I just wanted to get in one more chapter and ended up finishing way to early. The ending was a good wrap up that did not leave you questioning and needing more information of what happened to the characters. I am looking forward to reading more from this author. Nancy Holder is a talented fantasy writer.

Resurrection ends the Wicked series with a bang. Alex Carruthers is leading the coven to kill off the remaining members of the evil coven, with Holly in tow. Nicole and her family discover she is the heiress to the Moore mansion and fortune. The main question throughout the book is will they find each other again and will they finally defeat evil. A satisfying ending to a good series.

I was really surprised that people didn't like this book, I thought it was amazing and loved all the action and excitement with a real cliff hanger. When you just thought you had worked out the plot another surprise came straight along and gave you a massive shock. I think Nancy and Debbie have written an amazing wonderful and exciting story, I only wish there were more. Age 11.
