MP3 CD FormatWhen a stalker ratchets up his attempts to get to her, cable sex talk show host Morgan O'Malley turns to Jack Cole—a self-proclaimed dominant—for help. Though Jack is a bodyguard, Morgan feels anything but safe in his presence. Because slowly and seductively, Jack is bringing her deepest fantasies to the surface. And when he bends her to his will, what's more shocking than her surrender is how much she enjoys it and how she starts to crave his masterful touch. A willing player in Jack's games, Morgan knows that his motives aren't pure. But she has no idea how personal they are.

This book was greatly repetitive and not my type of book. Shayla Black is a get writer but the issue of sex on every page you turn, no story, and just erotic sex just wore me out. There was a mention of a stalker and a revenge plan but where is the story. It’s not an intellectual story and other readers loved the book. Learning how to be submissive doesn’t take much when it comes to sex so what is the big deal about….
Jack Cole is security guard, which makes him automatically a good looking sexy strong sex partner and Morgan O’Malley has a sex talk show so right off their made for each other. I know Shayla has many fans and I don’t want to offend anyone but I’m not one of those fans. I’ll be honest and say I hope I never come across another book of hers and if I do I have a very special place for it…
This book has it all IMO.
Engaging storyline, not only the romance between Master J and Morgan but also the suspense plot
Both the main characters, the side characters and their interactions are carefully build. Especially mischievous Grandpere and Jake’s business partner and friend.

The storyline is primarily about a submissive learning she is a submissive and that this sexual style is not abnormal. However, Black also included a suspenseful plot to include a stalker and a revenge plan.
It's written from a dual POV: Jack Cole and Morgan O'Malley. Jack is incredibly sexy and alpha. He's a security guard and is every romantic lovers dream. Morgan is beautiful and strong. She is a sex talk show host who is interviewing Jack for the BDSM lifestyle in preparation for one of her shows. During her first interview with Jack, she runs into trouble and his security guard instincts kick in.
Jack is a dominate and very open with his sexual preferences; thus perfect for her interview. Morgan had been criticized by a past fiancé for her fantasies as being depraved; therefore, she's suppressed them and vows to never share them again. Black incorporated this into the main theme of the storyline. I liked the premise of the storyline; however, it went a little slow for me at times and seemed a little repetitive.
Morgan and Jack are both likable characters, but each had their own issues that were bothersome and at times I totally didn't get them. At other times I loved them.
It's not a tremendously intellectually challenging book but it is an enjoyable and entertaining read. The supporting cast of characters was strong and set the stage for future books in the series. I look forward to reading not only more from this series but other works from Black as well.
I was pulled right in from the beginning. It had a nice mysterious element and I liked the details being laid out. Jack and Morgan were great characters. Loved their chemistry. I liked their interactions and how they're details were learned. There was really good development. Jack and Morgan were beyond hot together. There was so much passion between them and they had extremely well written and detailed erotic scenes (with a nice bit of kink too!). The author is very descriptive and thorough.
There are ups and downs as feelings are fought, I loved the growth and acceptance they go through as there relationship works itself out. There are really nice secondary characters as well, Jack’s grandfather was adorable and Deke was way sexy! I'm hoping he has his own story at some point. This is the first book in a series and there are a ton of others out already so I am looking forward to reading more.
There was a really great build to the story and Jack and Morgan’s relationship, it was exciting to read. I liked the details and descriptions really pulling me into their erotic world. I mentioned this was hot right? Combustible might be a better description. It was such a great story but some parts were drawn out. Lots of narrative happening. It's dual POV which was awesome, I loved getting inside Jack’s head. Morgan could be frustrating since she was hanging onto who she thought she should be instead of accepting who she was but I loved watching that fight within herself and then finally getting her a-ha moment of understanding.
If you’re looking for something extremely hot with a nice bit of kink with the added bonus of intrigue, I'd definitely recommend this.

If you are looking for a really hot, sexy book with BDSM aspects, then this is THE book for you. Wicked Ties was the first book that I read after 50 Shades, and it’s blazing hot! The story is full of suspense, drama, and so much sexiness that you will definitely need a spare pair of panties!!
Morgan is a hostess for a cable talk show which deals with all sexual matters. She is researching a topic for an upcoming show about domination and submission. She is told that the number one person to talk to is Master J (Jack). Jack works as a bodyguard and is a Dom in the bedroom. During the interview, he protects Morgan when a stalker tries to kill her. Sensing she is really a submissive, he decides to protect her from the stalker as well as teach her what the D/s lifestyle is all about.

Don't get me wrong I'm all for a bit of BDSM every now and again but a lot of the time it's all you get with erotica authors. I'd love love love to read a book where a guy is all alpha male but doesn't use nipple clamps and whips to show it. There are other more subtle forms of dominance and D/s that can be sexier.
Also this author doesn't do the 'hero' many favours in my book when he keeps positively pushing himself on the heroine. Half the time I felt like I was reading dubious consent scenes and that left a bad taste in my mouth.
The scene that really bugged me was when they had 'vanilla' sex and she's made to feel like crap. That's because as usual he's playing games with her. Refusing to speak or really be engaged. So in essence he's not doing what he promised - making love to her the way she wants - but playing childish games.
The whole thing just left a slightly bad taste in my mouth. Deke seemed like a much cooler guy than our hero and I warmed to him a lot more. I might give one more of these a try just because so many people seem to love her writing and maybe this particular book was just a bad one out the bunch.
I would have given this two stars if it wasn't for the hot menage scene which finally was actually quite sexy (probably because it had Deke in it who treats the heroine with a lot more respect than the supposed hero).
I am always looking for a book with more than 250 pages, as I feel like I want to truly understand the characters motivations/thoughts/feelings and not just read about the sexual fantasies and Wicked Ties does this well.
however, while on holiday and managed to read everything else i reluctanly read this and WOW! i am so glad i did. it has to be one of my fave books. i really loved it. the trouble for me with meneage, i hate the idea of a man sharing his woman with anyone, but jack is no ordinary man. i loved him, i loved the book. loved it so much i brought in book form too. it's a keeper.
while reading this on my kindle someone spoke to me, i literally threw the kindle up in the air as if i had been caught doing something very naughty....delicious.
