I bought this for my 11 year-old son with some apprehension. I was concerned about him playing online and having other older more experienced players talk smack to him, but that has not been the case so far. He really loves the headset and it works wonderfully. He's met some cool people to play with online and now hooks up with several regularly. Black Ops is a fun game, but being able to communicate with other players really enhances the whole experience. Very highly recommended (with parental approval for younger players)!
Even though I didn't recieve this item yet, I know it is going to enchance my gameplay features by like 5,000. How do I know this? I have a bud who has one, and I have played MW3 and Black Ops without it. Although, after I tried it, I was addicted... So I decided to buy one myself! The only thing that actually sucks about this is the cord. The great thing about this cord is that it's 10 ft long, but the bad thing? It's thin! If I were a advice giver person (lol, I have no idea what there called), I would suggest a thicker cord. Otherwise, it is definitely a worth it!
The Wii Headbanger Chat Headset is mostly for playing multiplayer online games such as CoD: Black Ops. For it's price, It could of been better. The 10 foot cord isn't long enough unless you want to sit uncomfortably close to the tv or pulling your Wii out risking someone tripping or breaking your Wii or the headset. The sound quality is alright, but you have to sit in a mostly quiet room to completely hear. The USB plugin is very bulky, like I said someone might trip over it and snap it off. It could use some work like needing a wireless cord and smaller USB, but thats about it. It' an alright little headset.
I like the headset and at the same time i dont like it. You are able to talk to people and hear what they say but the chord (which is 10') is really thin and i have had friends get shorts in the chord. Mine still hasnt but its only a matter of time. my view is that if the controllers to the wii are wireless than why cant the headset be wireless? Nintendo needs to make another headset that is wireless but till then this headset is still very good and If you play Black ops than you are gonna want this for an advantage against people that dont have mics. I think that it is worth the money because you can communicate with your team and its very effective while you are trying to strategise with your team!
Like everyone else before me, I've definitely noticed that it fits a bit weirdly in the sense that it feels as if it'll fall out. I've shaked my head from side to side to try to see if it would fall off, but it stayed snug so that's not a big deal.
Volume is a bit on the quiet side, you can still hear what everyone says clearly.
The wire isn't that big of a deal. It's long enough that it won't be suspended in the air to trip over and even if it's stepped on, it still works fine.
This headset is awesome. I had no problems with the sound, cords or ear piece. It fits comfortably on the ear. Very long cord that allows free movement. Great price. Good for gamers who like to communicate with other players like myself.
Its my second mic my other mic was eaten by the deadly vacuum machine monster I was able to reach into its mouth and pull it out but not before it mangled it to death. they work well enough would be much more better if they would make it wireless so as to more easily evade the deadly vacuum machine monster! and put a cross over piece to hold it more securely to ones melon should you not have the lobes to hold it in place. None the less it works good besides what other choice do you have.
