Good, simple clean fun

No Academy Award winner here. Predictable plot, stereotypical good guys and bad guys and story. I'm not a huge fan of any of the stars, so wasn't expecting anything much from them. And it's not much. But hey, it's light-hearted fun, good for a few chuckles here and there. Nice to see some light entertainment - no heavy drama, no politics, no sex or drugs, etc. Just a nice simple little story with some nice looking bikes and a few laughs along the way. Sort of like a nice gentle downhill ride - just take your mind out of gear, and coast along and enjoy the ride for a few minutes.

Purchased a DVD and it will not play due to some code on the disc I never heard of.
Then in order to return it must be "UNOPENED".
How in the world can someone know if it doesn't work if they don't open it?????
I am sending it back and hoping to receive a refund.

For the big names associated with this film, there could have been better sources of material than straight up homophobic jokes. Alas... Quite the shame, as I was enjoying it reasonably well prior to that, watching things unfold like every bike trip ever. Spouse not wanting you to go, talking yourself out of going, rain, people dry in cars laughing at you, lousy camping experiences... Wait, why do people do bike trips again? Yeesh.

When the homophobic jokes started, my sense of humor vanished with them, finding few laughs after that. The jokes that aren't rooted in homophobia are stereotypes - lazy writing. The ending, including the credits scene, involved eye-rolling levels of "did someone actually think this would work?"

The actors tried, but never really seemed to mesh or feel like real lifelong friends.

Comedy is the hardest genre, because people laugh only when they are in the mood to laugh. Good comedies start up with icebreakers that groom their audience into the proper mood. While this part is virtually missing from the beginning, replaced by situational info, my problem with this show is a lot more simple.

For me, the humor is stale and repetitive; you can encounter the same pun several times in this movie, even though the gag is old to begin with.

I would say, this is frat-house humor with elements of slapstick. Better than stoner, which is why I am giving it two, instead of one star. Sorry, I can't stand stoner humor, but that is only a matter of preference, so I am bringing it up only in order to provide a basis for comparison.

Still, on a tired night, you can enjoy this movie, assuming you keep your expectations low or you are in a company of people who haven't seen this type of humor over and over. The good new is that if you care for stoner, chances are you will love this!

It is all it was meant to be. A lighthearted movie about 4 middle aged guys who wanted to be weekend warriors, bikers, to break up the usual mundane lives they lead every day. They head off on a week long trip that turns out to be haphazard and full of bumps along the way.

All star cast of middle aged actors including one cameo at the end, that was not necessarily a big star in his day but he made one particular movie that made him a cult figure who had a huge following 50 yrs ago..

If you're under 50, you won't like this movie much.. the younger you are the more you'll think it dumb. The older you are you'll get 'it' and enjoy the cameo at the end (I won't spoil it!)

BTW, this movie says '2021' on Prime for some reason but it was made in 2007.

good lineup of classic popular 80s/ 90s actors and although my spouse would say it was a cute movie, I would more say it a generally good clean movie for pre-teen to teen age group with or without parents, and definitely for the lower self esteem/ nerds, or underdogs out there who need a boost to say, sometimes they are the only ones no matter how they do it, who can do the job. its a feel good movie that leaves you glad a tiny bit motivated that things will work out in the end...or so my boys told me.
and hey, i've never seen a movie I didn't like with TIm Allen in it....

Fantastic buddy movie, involving comedy and bikes. The four main actors are very funny, either independently or acting together as a group, and they're ably supported by a good cast. A great feel good movie that never gets old.
