I'm not sure there's a star rating for that, but you get the picture.
While I’ve not finished reading it aloud to my class, I just finished it and the first thing I wanted to do was write a review. This book, while mostly about a robot and her adopted goose sun, covers every human emotion and every step of the journeys heroes take! In the Note About the Story at the end, Peter Brown explains that his goal was to write a sequel “filled with heart and soul and action and science and even a little philosophy.”
And, Peter Brown, you did this in your unique way! Thank you for bringing Roz (back) into our lives!
Could Peter Brown be a Waldorf teacher?
The second book wraps up some loose ends in the plot nicely with more adventures. We can’t wait for #3! (Please let there be a third book).
This is a great follow up and just as quirky and fun as the first one. I read this to my book club at school. The kids liked the first book better, but they did enjoy this one. It took a while to get going, but the end is worth it.
Recommended to: 3rd-5th graders who like quirky stories with talking animals
