3.0 out of 5 starsThe singing....
Verified purchase
My daughters like this show, but I am surprised at the songs.... the voice, as I've read in other reviews, is distracting because 1. It's MUCH older than the character shown and 2. It sounds off key, which then makes her sound oddly older. I wish her songs were in a lower key because it sounds like she has a good voice, but is singing out of her range to maybe attempt to sound younger...

3.0 out of 5 starsIf you can tolerate it, your child might like it.

My 4 year old daughter likes it a lot. I think it's a lot of rainbow, unicorn, wish magic vomit. I also thinks the animation looks cheap, the dialog is terrible, and the songs are awful. However, my daughter loves it, so she watches it. This review might also biased because of how much this show has been on today.

They need to change her voice. It is way to teenager sounding. The character looks like a 7 year old with an adult voice. It doesn't match up. The very first trailer they made about a year ago was way better. The characters were drawn a lot better too. If you've seen tumble leaf, the voices in that are great because they aren't annoying little kids sounding and not too adult sounding either, it's a fabulous Amazon original. Try again with Wishing poof.

4.0 out of 5 starsCute Show, No Strong Objections

This gets 4 stars from me but my daughter would give it 5, I'm sure. My 7-year-old daughter really enjoys this show and is disappointed only one season is available through Prime. My daughter and I have been having ongoing talks about "wishing," why wishes can't always come true and I think watching this show has reinforced her belief that if she just wishes "hard enough," things will go her way. In hindsight, this was probably not a good show choice for her on my part.

I do like that when in the "real world," her wishes go awry and the consistent lesson is that she needs to do things the "hard way" rather than by wishing. I like that a positive attitude is encouraged, even when things don't go quite as envisioned. It's a cute show with some reinforcement of positive concepts, but overall it seems on the bland and overly sweet side to me. I much prefer "The Backyardigans," personally, but it's far better than some of the other magic/fairy-related shows we've watched together.

5.0 out of 5 starsDelightful mix of positive messages for preschoolers and elementary aged children!

My grandaughter and I just discovered this series and fell in love within minutes of the intro. The characters are kind and caring to one another, reminiscent of the early 90's Barney & Friends that I enjoyed with my daughter. We have watched season 1 and every episode tapped into the wonderful, creative mind of my 3 year old grandaughter. The wonder of magic is used as the vehicle to teach and empower children. But ultimately, the show delivers a message of attaining strength and character without the need for magic. Finally, the program has some very funny scenes that left us both laughing and enjoying each other while we watched. Wishes can come true in real life and this series teaches this while engaging our whimsy and satisfying our "wonderland" fantasies.

3.0 out of 5 starsMy son likes it more than I do
Verified purchase
It's ok. The show depends a lot on "wish magic" even though there's also talk of doing things on your own. My 4-year-old son likes the show but he always talks about how he wants wish magic--I'd rather he learn about doing things for himself using his own talents and abilities. The songs the main character (Bianca) sings are a little strange because it sounds like a totally different person (maybe a teenager?) is singing them. I do like that they try to teach kids to be thoughtful and kind to others, and that they shouldn't give up on something because it's difficult, although I'm not sure how much of that actually comes through to the kids.

My 2 year old LOVES Wishenpoof! So much so that she wanted to be Bianca for Halloween. (Which necessitated me explaining who Bianca was to everyone who doesn't have Prime, or that does but doesn't have small children. Lol)
