Barbara Hinske is an attorney who recently left the practice of law to pursue her career as a full-time novelist. She inherited the fiction gene from her father who wrote mysteries when he retired and told her a story every night of her childhood. Barbara is the bestselling author of the beloved Rosemont series, the Guiding Emily series, her sweet Christmas stories, and the mystery, thriller, and suspense novels in her "Who's There?" collection.
She and her husband share their own Rosemont with two adorable and spoiled dogs. She is besotted with decorating, entertaining, cooking and gardening. Now that her novel The Christmas Club has been made into a Hallmark Channel movie, she is completely star-struck and thrilled to have her work on the screen.
Praise for Coming to Rosemont:
"In a category that doesn't often feature felonious crimes as a main plot point, it's somewhat surprising to see this title -- with corruption, fraud, and arson coursing through the story -- in a list of top performers. But with enough twists and turns to hook any reader's attention, an adorable dog on the cover, and some classic women's fiction tropes, Coming To Rosemont delivered more than enough firepower to win over our readers!" BookBub's Best: Women's Fiction (#4)
"In this series opener, Hinske immerses readers in a delightful small town....The joys of the tale come from the warm relationships and the story of a woman getting a second chance at life and love." Publishers Weekly (BookLife)

Book one of The Wishing Tree series is an introduction to the rest of the series. With a wonderful prologue which introduces Neva Cabot, one of the oldest residents and leads into a brief introduction to the first six books of the series. I read a lot of reviews that were upset that this book is not a full novel itself. However, I enjoyed the brief introduction into the premise of the series and the first six books. As an added bonus, this book is a free eBook that if you are interested in the series, this is a great way to give a highlight of what to expect and the feel for the series. I have the next six books in the series and will be reviewing them soon. If you are curious about Linden Falls and their Wishing Tree, I recommend checking out The Wishing Tree.
The Wishing Tree is available in paperback and eBook
I received a complimentary copy of this book, all opinions are my own.
The characters are well written and likeable. This is going to be a fantastic collection.

The Wishing Tree series brings together some of the best contemporary writers. This, the first book, is just a taster for the remaining books in the series, and to whet your appetite for those to come - and it succeeds admirably. The series is set around a village in Nevada called Linden Falls, and at the heart of the village is a beautiful old Linden Tree which has become known as The Wishing Tree. People come from far and wide, to join locals in tying their wishes to its lower branches. However the tree, and it's custodian Neva, seem to know the very best way to deliver the wishes. Neva and the tree are the common theme throughout the series, although I believe other residents and shops pop up in various stories too - like the bookshop in the village. Each chapter is a precursor to a different book in the series.
I have had the great privilege of reading book 2 by the fabulous Amanda Prowse, and I can tell you that we are in for a real treat. I can't wait to read the rest.
