Ive actually enjoyed the Witcher comics more than I enjoyed the books...up until this point.
This wasnt bad by any means, but it felt like they just wanted to try and make Geralt more edgier than he needs to be.
We get it, geralt swears, but he was never as foul mouthed as he was in this story.
The art, while not bad, stylistically didn't fit the Witcher for me

Geralt faces a reckoning when a witch hunt casts doubt on his beliefs.
Flames rise as a witch is burned at the stake. As Geralt looks on, he hears a voice beckon to him. Nightmares plague his sight as he sees the burned witch appear before him--bringing an ominous warning . . . but is there more to her message than the ravings of a murderous hag? A wealthy landlord enlists Geralt's help in the search for his missing daughter, believed to have been taken by witches. But this is far from a rescue mission, something is haunting Geralt, something from within, something he can't escape . . .
Created in close collaboration with the studio behind the games! Collects issues #1-#4 of the Dark Horse Comics series The Witcher: Witch's Lament.

No problems with the comic itself. However they ship these out In bubble wrap envelopes that bend scuff and fold the comic. Mine came with damaged on its the Spine a bit of a tear on the middle and bended. It's a shame because I was hoping to keep them mint.

I enjoy this series that being said this volume is the worst story from the series so far and the art is definitely not my favorite.

This graphic novel continues in the vein of one-off stories from the Witcher without making it clear whether they are from the novel, computer game or TV series universe. Nor does it really matter as these could fit into any of them - set in the era when Geralt travels the land looking for commissions.
Story: Having caught the local witch who had killed some of the village men, Geralt starts to discover that perhaps not all has been as he assumed. As is typical of the Witcher universe, no one is innocent as Geralt sets out to see if the executed witch was deserving of her fate.
Unfortunately I did not enjoy this graphic novel as much as some of the others released of late. First, the art style is not one I enjoy - it feels messy and sometimes it's hard to determine which character is which. The colors are faded, which does fit the story but also makes reading the book a bit of a chore. Second, the story is somewhat predictable if you've read other Witcher stories. Finally, it also feels a bit too long - at least for me the story didn't grip enough to warrant that many pages. None of these make it especially bad, just solidly mediocre. Reviewed from an advance reader copy provided by the publisher.

This is by far the poorest series (Volume 6) of all the Witcher volumes:
Story: C-
Artwork: D-
Continuity with previous volumes: C
Continuity with books: D
Time to read: F
Enjoyment factor: D
This is a good example of “cashing in” on a name franchise. I will be hesitant when, and if, a ‘Series 7’ is released.
No excuse for the artwork. Clumsy, poorly drawn images is not an artistic style. Story was boring and silly.

Average story handicapped by poor artwork

I tend to like anything Witcher-related, but I wasn't very impressed with this. This mainly due to artwork, which was just horrible! It was very dark, 'scribbly' and so sketchy that it was often difficult to tell which character was being depicted.

I love this franchise and the books and the games just one thing I was not happy with is some of the corners of the book was a bit damage but other than that it’s a great comic book.
