Season 1
Desecrated graves, dead bodies dug up and left in model homes--every time, the same ritual: a woman, a man, a teenager, who weren't related but who form a new family. Amid the bodies, a photo: the one of Paul Maisonneuve, a retired police legend. Who is digging up the bodies? Who is leaving them in model homes and why? From Walter Presents, in French with English subtitles.

Great Movie
I don't know what it is about these foreign films, but they are so damn good!

very different
very atmospheric- the director seemed to love the main actress's face-there were alot of close ups of her thinking and reacting to the plot -alot also of the older policeman too. It's a slow film- I watched it when I was ill and so fell asleep here and there, and I didn't always exactly know what was going on at all times- but it was interesting enough to hold my interest. The cinematography was very good. If you like a quietly unfolding twisty type of murder mystery, you will probably like this.

An emotional roller coaster a la francais.
I have been watching a lot of Walter Present. The Witnesses was one of my favorites: believable characters, believable acting, credible story line. Little nitpicking perhaps on police procedure (carrying a second magazine should be obligatory), but aside from little stuff, a great Season 1.
Hope there will be a second Season.

Excellent French police drama. If are a fan of Unforgotten or Broadchurch give it a try.

Made well but...
I did enjoy this series with the exception that if they were such talented cops why on earth did they keep missing glaring moments of danger and leads??? It was just annoying that they walked into obvious traps and missed obvious clues of those helping the killer. Aside from this Walter Presents are usually worth the watch.

Heavy handed police melodrama: Bad script but well acted, directed
Not as good as many other Walter Presents offerings: watchable but lugubrious with lots of heart-tugging that is not earned. Too much indicating, and the incidents are haphazard. Pacing is slow, camerawork good, but frankly the scriptwriter was very bourgeois: surprising for a French flik flic.
