Wolf's Pack: Wolves Next Door, Book 3 Audible Audiobook – Unabridged
Corner a wolf and she will always fight back.
I finally did it. I took that last step, and it was everything I wanted. My relationship with my five mates has never been better. They've embraced not only me as a part of their lives but also my daughter, and this feels like the family I always dreamed of. I don't mean just myself and my mates, but the entire pack. They call me "Alpha". No, I'm not the alpha, but I'm learning how to step up. I got this. I'd better, since Wolf's Run has thrown open our doors to more than just wolves, but it seems like my version of winging it is working for all of us.
But not all shifters have packs. That doesn't mean they don't want them. These new neighbors might not be wolves, but everyone wants a community they can count on. The trick will be making sure ours doesn't fall apart in the chaos. Or get taken from us.
Between the antics of these teenagers, the insanity of so many changes happening at once, and the enemies my mates and I have already made, things are out of control. I feel like I'm chasing my tail. Thankfully, I've learned a few new tricks.
Once, I was just the nice lady next door. Now, this is my pack, and I've become a real bitch.
The Wolves Next Door series contains profanity, consensual sex, and one adult woman who falls for multiple younger men.

I love Elena and all her guys. The relationship grew in this book and I was so happy to see how it ended.
I also loved Elena and her daughter, Gabby, and how their relationship with the guys were in this book. It was really great to see how they all worked together and because even more a family unit.
There was excitement and action and romance and love. It had it all.
The side characters were fantastically done also and I would love to learn more about them in the future.
I definitely recommend this series.
I adore that not once was Elena ever pressured. I may have wanted to shake a few for dragging their feet, but rushing was not a concern. All the background stories, wove into the main one, there was a real possibility of making this more than a trilogy and still feeling like things were left out. The whole series spans less than a year, maybe 9 months? And so much is packed within that even with the amazing world building I have questions and want more. Personal conflicts, society conflicts, vendettas colliding, expansion plans, teens gone feral, the dueling houses, betas roles- past/present/future, what an alpha is (beyond the stereotype), and a lot more are all going on in the wings. Honestly, this could have been a 5 part series like Demon's Muse and never dragged. Because everything was consistently go, go, go. Not rushed, but always moving. There were bonding moments, but so many were interrupted that I kind of felt bad for the characters. I'm hoping, that because the way this still feels open, not unfinished but open, that this world may be revisited. Because some of those background stories would be instant grab for her readers. Not necessarily for the romances, but for the further insight into these charismatic characters we didn't see nearly enough of. And also, I want to see the sanctuary take a more outreach approach towards shaping shifter society. I will add trigger warnings for 2 of their rescues. They are women taken from horrible situations of physical and mental abuse. Everything is glossed over, nothing in depth described, and it's only a couple sentences, but it bears warning for sensitive readers. And is also part of my desire to see them tech beyond their walls instead of waiting on strays to come to them. Otherwise this was a brilliantly done trilogy that never stopped on the action. Another Auryn hit it out of the park home run. And I thank the author, heavily, for creating a mature woman who isn't TSTL, who fights for herself and others, who doesn't settle, who plans but is flexible, and isn't looking to pop out a brood simply because she falls in love.
To sum it up: what do the parents of supernatural teenagers do in the background? And what if the heroine actually was one of those parents?
Now add in a compelling story, likeable characters, both action and joyfilled scenes, and quite a few steamy ones, and..... Just Read The Books Already - they are that good!
I loved seeing the growth in Elena and her realising just how strong she's always been, her confidence in herself and her relationships. Her relationship with Gabby has grown from strength to strength and is just beautiful, as is Gabby's relationships with all her mother's men.
The guys all really stepped up as a partner for Elena and also a father figure for Gabby. I loved each of them so much.
The Sisterhood continues to grow and they made me laugh and be so grateful for my own sisterhood. <3
The side characters are amazing, especially the new ones that really made a big impact to Wolf's Run.
This book closes out so many ties raised throughout the series, and leaving some new ones dangling for possible spin offs - if Auryn is so inclined (I really hope so!!)
It really does have everything - drama, love, action, romance, laughs, family, friends and a wonderful inclusive community - who wouldn't want to be a part of that? <3

In this book Elena comes into her own as Alpha Female. She steps up and becomes a true Alpha. She takes the authority she has been gifted as mate to the Alpha and makes it her own. She does it in a unique way that reflects who she is rather than the traditions that came before her. She and Gabby are changing Wolf’s Run in a way that people are coming to embrace.
In the aftermath of the shooting at the high school and subsequent ‘fake’ video, there has been interest in other species of shifters in joining Wolf’s Run because they are desperate for safety and they don’t have packs, the way wolves do. Elena and Gabby, being minorities themselves have brought their experience of being outsiders to the table and demanded that the pack help other’s in need.
The path to becoming fully integrated is not an easy one, especially as Elena is learning how to move and live as a wolf, whilst Gabby is learning what it takes to be a proper Pack Alpha. Karen and her new mate are also still causing lots of problems, which is making everything that little bit harder.
As I said, a lot happens in this book, not just the expected bit of plot revolving around conflict and integration, but all the sub-plots too. Everything included is important and invaluable in telling the story.
I really do hope that in the future Auryn writes a spin off series, because there is so much that can be done with this amazing cast of characters, that I’m really not ready to say goodbye too, because as always they are written so well they feel real. I really enjoyed this book and the rest of the series, and I know I’ll re-read it in the future, because I enjoyed it so much. Knowing this author I’ll probably enjoy it more the second and third time round because there will be little hidden gems I didn’t notice on the first pass through.
If you want to read about adult romance, where the protagonists have to juggle careers, friendships and kids, as well as taking on the monsters and fighting for compassion, justice and integrity then this series is definitely one you should read.
Definitely worth the read
