Woman of Sunlight had plenty of all these ingredients. Ilsa and Mitch had their little squabbles in book one so I was looking forward to seeing how Ms Connealy would bring them together. As usual, it was a comical occasion in the end. Ilsa’s innocence provided quite a bit of humor as she learned about the ways of life amongst the people. Her insistence that there are two bibles and Mitch’s defense of her beliefs and how he took care of the issue may have chocked me up a bit. I loved the scene in the park. Such a big heart for his wife and how she grew up. There was an interesting element of suspense which turned out different than I expected.
At the end of the evening, I closed the book with a smile of contentment, pleased with the results of the long wait. And now I (not so) patiently wait for book 3!
Best read after book 1.
