4.0 out of 5 starsA rough gem

At first I opted for this movie because it sounded like something mindless. How wrong was I. Its a variety of vignettes about women in various aspects of trouble and how life can bring together the strangest people at the right time. I thoroughly enjoyed it and was sorry that it ended so soon.

This flick is an interesting amalgamation of things. The acting is great, photography good and the story lines.... Well, it's a set of well written vignettes that all interconnect buried inside a rather tawdry package. I think most of the low ratings are because of the occupations and predilections of the women portrayed.

Each actress was great in their roles and broadcast their emotions well. My favorite was the biggest stretch from her normal roles - Adrianne Palicki as a truly dumb blond - on the mark.

Overall, if you can get by the framework this movie is a good watch. Heavy on the chick flick but very enjoyable.

5.0 out of 5 starsWHAT'S NOT TO LIKE? SEE THIS MOVIE!

I love that every woman, every actress, was PERFECT in this film. There's not a bad performance in it, men included. The writing was tight, the direction and editing close to flawless, the cinematography solid. Comedy and drama gold. I especially like how every woman, every actress, was totally at ease with the subject(s) which made it so believable - the mark of a good film. (And, for a modest budget film, this was superb!)

Love these women ... wish they were my neighbors, we'd have some laughs. The goofy kid, too. Liked her a lot.

As of this writing, this movie gets three stars overall, and I think that's about right. It's funny at times, it's a decent story, and there's plenty of female semi-nudity. The acting is OK. It's a reasonably entertaining hour and a half. That's about all that can be said for it.

5.0 out of 5 starsBest female comedy I have seen in a little while.

Laugh, laugh and then laugh again. Adult themed so obviously not for all. The entire cast of ladies do a riotously entertaining job. Well worth buying. Nothing to hashtag. Just straight forward crude comedy with a bit of a love story for life and some of the people in it.

3.0 out of 5 starsLots of Women and Their Problems

Mixed bag of women babeling to each other about day to day stuff. All attractive women filmed in what looks like video tape. Hard to keep all the characters straight. Interesting but not compelling.

Thought it was going to be just a disinterested "background watch", but it was surprisingly engaging.

Very enjoyable movie! Connie Nielsen & Carla Gugino give very good performances in one of their best roles. Great way to spend an evening!
