Ethan is the alpha of a bear shifter clan on his ranch. He storms up to him and demands answers. He realizes that she needs help and says he will but he’s also determined that he doesn’t have time for a mate. But fate sometimes doesn’t give you a chance to decorate! Viho stears her to Bearden, Montana where she comes to head with the broody, but sinfully sexy cowboy bear shifter Trent Ashford owner of the Black Claw Ranch. Trents bear rears it's head, but Trent refuses to heed his bears ramblings about a mate. And man is the spitfire gorgeous!

Tansey us not ready and refuses to accept what's staring her in the eyes about her brother.....She can't accept the treachery......Only Trent can help her now.

Lots of mystery, action and intrigue, great read!

Unbeknownst to both of them, they will be embroiled in a plot to mete vengeance upon Ethan's family. When it's all over, life as they knew it will be drastically different from what they imagined. A good series opener and addition to the world of Bearden, but the editing could have been better.

There were parts of this book that I really enjoyed a something I didn't.

I loved the character of Ethan. He was this hard working cowboy shifter that only wanted what was best for the ranch and the men under him. He gave up on the whole mate thing because he didn't think he had time. I loved the first meeting between Ethan and Tansey. I loved that he thought her little temper tantrum was cute. I could envision it so well.

The part I didn't like was Tansey. I get that she was looking for her brother and wanted answers. I also understand that she is a little on the sassy side but there were times she was almost getting in the way. Her stubbornness could have gotten people hurt, herself included which never seemed to register. She was dealing with shifters and not all of them were good ones but she just didn't care.

Wow! Great shifter story. Wrangled Fate (Black Claw Ranch book 1) is the first book I’ve read by Cecilia Lane. I’m so glad that I tried Cecilia Lane’s book. This book is a story about Ethan Ashford, the alpha of a clan of misfit bear shifters and Tansey Nichols, a strong-willed woman looking for her missing brother. Ethan Ashford and the clan run the down on its luck Black Claw Ranch. Tansey, having enlisted the help of a wolf pack, is directed to the ranch and Ethan in relation to her missing brother. Tansey’s and Ethan’s first meeting is volatile. They quickly learn that there are dangerous forces at work with someone from Ethan’s past hiding in the shadows.

The story is smooth and fast paced with lots of interesting characters and action. The members of Ethan’s bear shifter clan are all men and all have a past they would like to keep hidden. Tansey is no damsel in distress waiting to be rescued. She’s a woman whose natural instinct is to take charge and doesn’t let anyone push her around. Ethan’s and Tansey’s love story is a little bumpy, but comes to a satisfying ending! This story only made me want to read more. Good thing there are a total of 5 books in the Black Claw Ranch series.

Ethan is the alpha of the Bkack claw ranch and has no idea what tansey is taking about bug he does know she is in trouble and she is his mate he just isn't sure he wants a mate with everything going on in his life. Plus Vino is more then he seems.
Live the action in this story. The characters are awesome with great twists and turns to the plot line it also has Danger, drama, mystery, betrayal, spice, and so much more. I didn't want to put it down. Don't miss it. I can't wait for the next book to come out.

I read the Lion series before this (wrong order, I know), so I had met some of the characters before. I enjoyed getting to know the bears, who are almost as dysfunctional as the lions! Tansey was awesome and I also loved Ethan. I'm looking forward to reading about the rest of the clan.
