The Wrong Game: A Sports Romance Kindle Edition
#1 Sports Romance
#1 Contemporary Romance
Two season tickets.
One genius idea.
Zero interest in a relationship.
The plan is simple: a brand new, hot, preferably funny, definitely single male will fill one of those seats for every Bears game at Soldier Field. And I’ll fill the other.
I can’t think of a better way to use the season passes I’d bought for my ex-husband. I am a woman of plans, and this one’s foolproof.
Until Zach Bowen offers to be my practice round.
He’s infuriating. Presumptuous and overbearing. And absolutely, undeniably gorgeous. Any woman with a heartbeat would be attracted to him, and mine picks up speed every time he speaks.
But as I said, I’m a woman of plans — and I’m not backing down on this one.
One night. One game. And then, his time’s up.
He can try to change the rules, but here’s the truth: he can’t win if he’s playing the wrong game.
The Wrong Game is a stand-alone, angsty, enemies-to-lovers sports romance.
"Oh the feels, the swoon, the sizzling sexiness! Kandi Steiner scored a TOUCHDOWN with The Wrong Game. It was everything I wanted to read and so much more. A 5 star favorite that will definitely be on my TOP READS OF 2018 list!" -- Angie, Angie's Dreamy Reads
"The chemistry between these two ripped up the pages, and stole my heart along the way." -- Kitty Kat's Crazy About Books
"All I can say is that this book was one of the best romance books I've read this year. [The Wrong Game] just blew my mind! Big time." -- Becca, Little Red Reading Hood
"The characters are real people living in the "realness" of relationships, fighting for love in the "game" of life. This is Steiner's brilliance as a romance writer. She uses words to build relationships that are meaningful and real. While her title is The Wrong Game, it is definitely the right read at the right time. And this professor HIGHLY recommends it." -- Amy, Goodreads Reviewer
"This story has angst, as Kandi is well known for, but it also has such fantastic humor and heart!" -- Bibliophile Chloe
"Kandi puts so much of herself into her novels, but The Wrong Game is truly Kandi shining through and that's what makes it so special. This novel is her love letter to football. It's her love letter to romance. And most importantly, it's her love letter to her readers." -- Chase, Wander Reader
"The Wrong Game is simply put: a great romance that will leave you smiling from the wit, banter, and search that you didn't realize you were taking to finding love." -- Julie, Goodreads Reviewer
"The Wrong Game has catapulted to one of my favorite books this year. I'm already itching for a re-read. Football and romance really do go hand in hand and make for the best stories." -- Linda, LB Book Blog
"I absolutely loved EVERYTHING about this book! It's sweet, fun, sassy, witty and downright amazing. It's exactly what we've come to know and love from Kandi Steiner." -- Meredith, Goodreads Reviewer

It was all the individual betrayals, that sliced her. Mail in the teal mailbox, they painted together. His eyes never wandered while, in her presence. So, to make sure she had all the evidence for herself, she followed him. There it was, his arms were around her, and his lips were touching her, the way he was with mine. Her plan was ready. She had checked off everything that she needed to make this is an amicable divorce. Including buying a condo, dividing assets, who she told, how families would hear, who got what, and all that was left both signatures on the divorce papers.
She struggles for so long, to speak that he goes first. Her need for control once again leads her astray. This delay is a death sentence for sure. Blurting out that, he has cancer. The type that is, rapid and he will not, live long. Yup. A death sentence for her. Caring for this for lying cheating, low-life, backstabbing, SOB. I so would have gone and at least told him you knew at the end. Then, I would have told his family. Stopping the pretending. Why didn't he get his mistress to care for him? Because he was selfish. Did he know already that he had cancer and the fling was his last hurrah? Either way, it was mean.
The thing is Gemma got off on being the victim. And that got to be a pain in my a$$. Zach is so loving and caring, all she did is continuously take, and expect things emotionally, from this man. She’s so imprisoned in her head and feelings, Gemma has no empathy for those around her. She puts Zach through the wringer for the sins of her ex. Yet, Zach has no idea because she won’t share. The only thing that saves my view of this book is the 360 Gemma does thanks to Belle her best friend who pushes her outside her comfort zone.
The Wrong game is a super sweet and angsty read that will definitely leave you with all the feels. It was probably a bit too angsty for with all the ex-husband drama, but that's just me. Hero was a super sweet "good guy" who hung onto her drama coaster way harder than I would have. The FMC was a bit of an emotional train wreck (with good reason) and it was nice to see her get the guy she deserved.
When I read I pay attention to real life situations, the ages of the people and match it up. This book was just a big No for me. I get what Gemma went through and I believe it was something super painful. She deserved happiness and also to take the time to enjoy herself and find out who she really is before jumping into something else.
The friend aka Belle, man I disliked her🙄 I mean what kind of friend is that. First able, you just cannot go on a date with someone your best friend messed with, even if she does not care for him. I get that it was fake but it's a big red flag for me. Second, you cannot advise someone how to be or feel when you are just as bad. It was clear that Gemma was not ready so why push it?? What you can advise your friend is to go to therapy and take some time to love herself before starting a whole new relationship.
Also, Gemma was a bit immature for her age and the way she acted was just bad. I Loved Zack and I like how he tried so hard for her but until you know what a person has been through then back off a bit, understand the situation and avoid bringing negative things that could trigger her.
Why would you state that she thought she had lost you and that's the reason she went for it?? No, she never had you and it's not like she wanted something serious. She had a plan and even messing around could make you feel any type of way towards someone especially if you see them often. Even when you both want a "fun time" someone always ends up catching feelings.
Again just my opinion I guess but unfortunately this happens in a lot of relationships

There's such a heartbreaking back story involved for both characters but Gemma really gets kicked to the curb with the double whammy that's served her way. Zach is every guy a girl wants and tries his hardest to win her over even though he knows her attempts to date again are trial and error until she's comfortable for the whole relationship thing.
The hot dog outfit was hilarious and I'm glad that's the reason why he was late because I was gutted for Gemma at that moment in time.
Kandi Steiner has written yet another amazing fun filled sports romance that had me laughing from start to finish.
She definitely knows how to write a cracking story that is just full of all the feels that you can imagine and this book was no different.. i was drawn in hook line and sinker desperate to find out how the story would work out for Gemma and Zach.
So after these pair have both been through heart break in previous relationships in completely different ways they are both reluctant to get involved with anyone again... but after Gemma decides she would like some friendship/companionship in her life again this brings Zach intp her life... but they both have different ideas on what should happen next!
Love the banter between these guys... the funny times.. the friendship.. the way they eventaully realise how deep their feelings actually are... the way Zach is with Gemma is just totally swoon worthy and makes you want him for yourself!
Love love loved this book!
