Mika thinks she has heartburn, to the point she goes through a bottle of tums in 1 week. She thinks it is due to nerves. In reality, Mika is pregnant and in not paying attention she drives into Thibault. Thibault is walking across the road and only looks in the direction traffic should be coming from. He gets hit by Mika.
Thibault happens to deliver Mika's baby and keep her safe. In the hospital, Mika has an attempted visitor from her boss, Pavel, and her declining is when the story she takes off. As Mika learns she may need to trust someone, you learn a little more about her. Thibault does what he can to protect Mika but is he willing to lose his family and friends for Mika when she won't lose herself for him?

3.0 out of 5 starsIt didn't deliver
Reviewed in the United States on March 21, 2017
I've enjoyed this series right up till the release of this book. Sadly it didn't live up to the previous books in the series.
I loved May, Jenny and Toni - all three of the full of badassery in their own way. I can't say the same about Mika. Honestly, I wanted to shake her for her display of pure stupidity. There's independent and then there is Mika who takes it to a not believable level - I refuse to believe that someone would willingly put their new born baby through all that.
For me this book lacked the humour I fond in the previous three books. It feels rushed and not at all thought through.
However, have you read the previous stories you might still want to check out Thibault's story. Don't necessary take my word for this being a mediocre book...you might not agree with me.

3.0 out of 5 stars The heroine annoyed me

This series started pretty good. But if you write a book a month, like the author says, mistakes will be made. Why is Toni's last name Delecourte (book 3) and her full brothers last name Delacroix? The plot was decent, but the main chick was a pain. All the women in this series have thoughts running in their heads non stop. They tend to repeat the same thoughts so much you want to scream! But this one, help me! The author must think we are dense, because she shows us the woman's hang up and fears and then she beats us over the head with it until I wanted to scream STOP! As a side note - how this guy fell for this pain in the behind is beyond me.
One of the things about Thibeault is his cajun accent -at least in book one and two. Book three never mentioned it, but this is his book, yet not ONE WORD about it? Just sloppy. Ms Casey, spend an extra week per book out of respect for your reader.

3.0 out of 5 stars An angsty romance
Reviewed in the United States on August 19, 2017

The fourth installment in the Bourbon Street Boys series definitely had the most unexpected plot twist of them all. While I liked the angst in this one, the conclusion was too over the top for my taste. Don't get me wrong, I believe in love at first sight/lust after experiencing it myself, but the decision that Thibault makes because of it made me think "no way!" Maybe if I had seen more of his internal struggle with that decision, or if the timeline of the story were longer, it would have been different. I think overall—and I'm sure it's the choice of first-person narration—I would have enjoyed this series more if I had gotten to know the men in these stories a little better. Their bromance would have been fun to read.
Wrong Number, Right Guy was by far my favorite of the bunch with its witty punchlines and the sizzling chemistry between May and Ozzie.

I read the series in order and think I enjoyed this one the most. Light romance with suspense . Elle Casey writes a really fun and enjoyable read! The Bourbon Street boys series of (only!) Four books is something you will want to buy , read and keep in your personal library. Thanks Elle I stumbled across the first book and after reading it bought the next three. It was wonderful to find another very talented author to expand my library . Definitely will be reading more of her books!

2.0 out of 5 stars But they don't have to be stupid and unnecessarily obstinate

It was a decent read but it gets old when the female lead refuses to listen to common sense. I totally get having strong female role models. But they don't have to be stupid and unnecessarily obstinate. Sometimes listening to someone who knows better is smart and strong.

This book is a mess. I skimmed a lot of it. The pacing is off, the MC is woefully dumb, and there is NO SEX UNTIL THE LAST PAGE. ?????

5.0 out of 5 stars Great book

This series is great. It's fun and lighthearted and full of humor and love. There is a little dinner and suspense but not much. This series focuses more on the relationships between the main characters and the supporting characters. If you enjoy contemporary romance books with lighthearted humor and a touch of danger then this series is for you.

I didn't make it very far. Each book has been worse than the last. I really enjoyed the first book, the second was ok, the third was pretty awful, this one I gave up after a few pages.

I wish the lead lady wasn't so clueless but happy that Tebow got his happy ending. Wish they did a little more in future to see if they had any kids together and how the rest of team was doing
