Think X-Men as teenagers under the guidance of older mutants and more innocent than in the comics (especially regarding Kurt Wagner aka Nightcrawler who tends to be portrayed as a womanizer). This show brilliantly explores having part of one's self that a person needs to hide for his or her own protection from "normal" people. In this case, it is of course abilities for the most part. However, Nightcrawler and Beast also deal with appearing to be a monster to people who do not actually know them. This is by far the tamest season of this series, but also serves as a strategy to get you hooked on the show. Please note: If you have a fear of powerful men who can break down your door and attack you, you may have nightmares from Wolverine/Logan. However, this show is worth watching if you can push through an occasional dream about a cartoon character.
