But otherwise, the Juggernaut arc continues to be one of my favorite storylines ever. His protective attitude toward a young student is endearing, as his budding friendship with Northstar, who he bonds with despite his homophobia. His brief fling with She-Hulk is also fun and well-written. It definitely seems unnecessary that this was later retconned.
The bulk of this collection is the "Draco" storyline, which introduces the "demon" (actually an ancient mutant) Azazel, and reveals that he is Nightcrawler's father by Mystique. It's definitely full of clunky dialogue and is a pretty big swing continuity-wise, but as with the last volume I found myself reading through this one quickly. It's dumb soap opera drama, which is still more enjoyable than some of the extremely slow and nonsensical storylines from the late 90s.
The art in this collections is definitely underwhelming. The bulk is Philip Tan's ugly, crowded pencil work, with some occasional fill-in issues from house-style artists whose work resembles those DC Snickers ads. Overall, not a collection I would prioritize, but you could do worse.
My advice is to read every page with Juggernaut on it, and skip every single other page, and stop as soon as She-Hulk turns up. This will be a moving ten-minute read about the cycle of abuse and self-hatred. Just pretend the rest of it doesn't exist.
