The Year of Spectacular Men

 (92)
5.71 h 42 min201818+
Izzy Klein has (barely) graduated from college, broken up (sorta) with her boyfriend, and has a bad case of pre-real-world millennial-itis. Throughout the year, she falls in and out of some not so romantic romances, and figures out that when it totally feels like the end of your story, it’s often just the beginning.

I want to watch it again!

Loved the film! Great acting, music, honest script with just the right amount of humor & bawdiness, never sappy! The pitch perfect sisters' relationship, the awkwardness of the boyfriend encounters, and the snappy dialogue elevates the box for this genre. The main character's millennial point of view is refreshing as a struggling coming of age story, but still seems like all ages can relate to the film, although not for children. Enjoyed the story arc, not all figured out but on it's way to further resolution, just like life really works. I want to watch it again!

Sound quality was bad (muffled), picture quality was bad (blurry), acting was bad (particularly the main actress). Couldn't watch much of it at all. Don't waste your time.

Beautifully Written

I loved the honesty of this movie. Real life....insecurities, indecision, trying new things, getting shot down, uncertain of your path and place in life. But most of all, love. Beautifully written and well directed.

Not a script to remember

I expected a much more impactful script. I would read the acting as average. The time line plot variations were slightly harder to follow.
