5.0 out of 5 stars It's no longer a question of when...
By Denise K on September 27, 2018
If you have been reading the articles on Yellowstone National Park, you have seen that there is new activity occurring. New fissures have opened up and geysers that haven’t erupted for years are now erupting and with more frequency. The scientists are saying that there is no imminent danger of an eruption from the Yellowstone Caldera…just as they kept saying in the newest series Yellowstone by Bobby Akart. But one woman, Dr. Ashby Donavon, a volcanologist, knew better. Having lived through the eruption of Mount Pinatubo which claimed the lives of her loving parents, Ashby has made it her life work to study volcanoes in order to help save lives if and when the unthinkable happens. She had tried to warn people that the Project Hydro which was to cool the volcano down by injecting water into the magma chamber, hence causing steam for energy was causing more damage than doing any good to the Earth. Many poo-poed her thoughts and now it was too late to do anything about it. Yes, the massive killer was rearing its ugly head and waging an all-out war on the area. Spewing poisonous gas and ash, it will take no prisoners and leave death and destruction in its wake.
This second book in this series is filled with action, the will to survive, death and is very emotional. I have such an incredible liking for the characters already and was on the edge of my seat while reading of their escape from the inferno that was now razing everything in its path. What they encounter on their escape is nothing short of miraculous though totally harrowing. Not only are they running from the biggest threat to the world, they must also face the unsavory characters who are also trying to survive at all cost. As with any catastrophe be it earthquake, hurricane, tornado, etc, the worst in mankind comes out and survival is the only thing on their mind. Facing these new dangers not only brings Jake and Ashby closer together but also increases their will to survive along their journey to reach California.
Bobby Akart has truly outdone himself with this series. Not only with the brilliant characters, the realism of the eruption, but also with the in-depth research he has put into this story giving us a firsthand look at what makes a volcano tick and ultimately come to life. I can truly recommend this series with no hesitation to anyone who loves a fantastic post-apocalyptic story or one of survival. Not only are you getting a top notch story but also get one with survival tips put in along the way.

5.0 out of 5 stars MOTHER NATURE IS BEAUTIFUL BUT DEADLY
By John J. (Joe) Carey on September 27, 2018
The descriptions of the eruption of the Yellowstone caldera will literally take your breath away, no pun intended. While the heroics of many will bring back hope that all will be well for Jake and Ashby, nature has a way of bringing one back to reality. Bobby Akart never fails to keep one on the edge of their seat and YELLOWSTONE; INFERNO is no exception. Heroes will risk life and limb to save friends but prepare for a very sad future.

Again the characters make you love them and root for them, the descriptions of Yellowstone will amaze you, but more importantly if you have read the news in the last few weeks you will see why I can’t help but call Bobby Akart the Nostradamus of our age. Bobby has drawn a picture that will scare the hell out of you, especially if you read the recent reports from Yellowstone or look at the scientific history that makes it clear history will forecast the future. We know that eruptions are happening much more often than they have for many years and that the possibility of another major eruption can happen at any time, WE JUST DON’T KNOW WHEN.

Ashby has lived through an eruption that took away her family can she live through another and what loved ones will be lost this time. Jake will be called on to perform feats that most men could never do and push back ghosts from his past to succeed. Can he do it, or will his beloved Yellowstone destroy him. They will face nature at her most beautiful and most dangerous.

Bobby introduces many great characters some good and some not so good, including the Bounder, another great SHTF vehicle, that will hopefully provide safe passage as the heroes try to find a place that will be safe, afford them protection, a place to settle and make a new home in a new world, but the foe they face, both nature and human, has different plans and a giant reach that could bring on the end of the world as we know it.

I am officially begging for the next book in the series, as Bobby has left us with another cliff hanger, just as you think they might be home!!
