This was good. It kept me engrossed throughout the book. I didn't love it, but I did enjoy it.
But at times I did think it was a bit slow. And I was not real crazy about the ending. It was kind of like, okay that was the story now I will explain everything to you.
Jessica Williams was born in a cult "The Land of Todd" She was rescued twelve years ago by Liam. He helped her reintegrate into the world. Jessica went to college and became a journalist. She became famous when it was found that she plagiarized one of her pieces. While at the airport on her way to Mexico for a vacation, Jessica meets another woman in a bar who has the same name and birthday. She names her Jessica two. As they are parting ways Jessica Two wants to keep in touch so she has Jessica tap their phones so they can have each others contact numbers.
But when she gets back from vacation, Jessica discovers that Jessica Two has cleaned out her bank account. In her quest to find Jessica Two, she finds other Jessica Williams that this has happened to. And so she plots a scheme with the help of a couple other Jessica's to set a trap for Jessica Two to get their money back and expose her. But things never go according to plan.
This book is told mostly in the present with some flash backs of Jessica's time in The Land of Todd
But the twist ending was not to my liking especially since it cast Jess 1 into a completely different light. Plus the end and it's explanation seemed a little too easy.
The first few chapters were just O.K for me. Just seemed like another mystery novel that could have been written by many others, and although it never did get outstanding , it did keep me turning the pages.
Over all I do believe this author and book was good, It just was not great..
Would I recommend this book to others ? Yes
Will it blow you away ? Probly not.. but with that said, it will not bore you either.
