I especially love that the author included a glossary of the names mentioned in the book, including their origins and meanings. All the names featured are so beautiful, it's lovely to have further education on them.

First grader main character, referred to as "the girl", tells her mum that her name got stuck in her teacher's mouth on the first day of school. The mum tells the girl that she should sing her name, because names are songs. They go through an array of names in different languages as the girl practices saying the names and learn where they came from. The next day she comes ready to school to sing not only her name, but also the names of her teacher and classmates.
The glossary at the end of the book provides further insight into the names mentioned in the book. The illustrations compliment the story perfectly.
