Samantha Winter’s leads a predictable, safe and some would argue . . . boring life. She takes no risks and has no desire to change that. Then she met Nick and found her alter ego opposite who laughs danger in the face with a almost devil may care attitude. When he organises what Samantha believes is a reckless and unnecessarily dangerous kayak trip, for her this is the last and final straw. Ending the relationship is her perceived only option but she may secretly wonder what might have been!
Two years later she is urgently required at her Grandmother’s side due to a accident and there she reconnects with Nick unexpectedly. Old love rekindled and daring to take a chance at love rather than always playing it safe.
Themes of redemption and second chances sprinkled throughout the book give this a sweet if inoffensive read. While it won’t knock anyone’s socks off it may just warm the heart and give those welcome “Feels” we love to talk about.
I received a copy of this book for free from the publisher as part of the Thomas Nelson/ Zondervan Fiction Guild. I was not required to post a positive review and the views and opinions expressed are my own.
