No Compatibility Issues with E-Z Ink

After past negative experience with other replacement ink brands, I am particularly cautious when using non-OEM ink in a Brother printer. Happily, E-Z Ink has worked as well as the original Brother ink in my MFC-J870DW printer. The printing is sharp and vibrant and there have been no leaks or any other problems from the E-Z Ink cartridges. I have also replaced the OEM cartridges in an older Brother Printer and a Lexmark printer with excellent results and performance. I highly recommend E-Z Ink.

Didn't Work on Brother MFC-J450DW

I bought this ink for my Brother MFC-J450DW printer/scanner. I've never had any issues using off-brand ink until now, but my printer will not print with this ink. I tried multiple test prints, multiple cleanings. The best I could get were a few black splotches. I am really hoping my printer isn't ruined. I'm going to try genuine Brother ink and see if it works. If my printer is ruined I am going to be really upset. It has been a reliable printer for a long time.

I have been buying my ink from E-Z Ink for years and always been so happy with both the quality and pricing. I received an order of this ink on April 8th. Took me a week or two to use up the last of the previous ink, then I started the struggle with the ink from this delivery.

If I clean the printer head twice, I can get four good pages, then have to stop and clean the printer heads again. I print too much to have time to do that, so I dusted off my old Cannon Pixma ip2600. I couldn't believe the ink had not dried out and I was still able to obtain some ink for this trusty old printer. It uses too much ink and cannot print over Wi-Fi, though, and my current printer is also my scanner, so using two printers is becoming ridiculous.

I contacted E-Z Ink through their website and through the Amazon website and have receive NO RESPONSE from either. I feel like my husband just left me. I am so disappointed because I have enjoyed the convenience, quality and price for years. I don't know if their ink has ruined my printer, but I finally have time today (I run my own business) to try to figure out what to do about my printer situation. I gave them plenty of time to contact me to try to make it right.

I think I'm going to move away from using Amazon at all. I don't trust the supplements bought here. Amazon used to be awesome, but now may be slightly better and often equivalent to just buying cheap junk from a foreign website. I just received some wheel covers that are so flimsy. I have always bought my wheel covers from Amazon as well. I'm repeatedly finding quality issues with products bought here. I actually buy skating dresses through E-bay from China and the quality is far superior than expected. Can you believe that? American companies are now the ones providing substandard products. It's a clown world we live in. Remember the days when the Amazon reviews and comment sections were a gold mine of quality reviews, experiences and information about the products here from people who had actually paid for and used the products?? I think I've reached the point at which the convenience is no longer paying off because I am continually so disappointed in the quality and returning the defective products is so inconvenient..

Nowadays, ink cartridges cost more than printers, and over time they can be very expensive indeed.

Fortunately, these Brother replacement inks are an excellent and inexpensive alternative to OEM cartridges. In my experience, they last as long (if not longer) than authentic Brother ink cartridges, and I have never had a problem with my printer not recognizing them.

The fact that you get multiple high-capacity cartridges in every color makes this combo pack an unbeatable value. No need to worry about running out of ink, because there are backups.

I've been using these cartridges for years and I'm glad they're available so that I can actually afford to use my printer.

I read the reviews before buying these ink cartridges. I installed one of the Black ink ones as soon as I got them. They come sealed in plastic so after cutting the plastic open the is a piece of tape that says to pull off and then install it in the printer. It worked just as it was supposed to work. The quality of the Ink seems to be just as good as the Brother it is replacing. I may add more to this or do another review after I have used these for a while.

Not good, everything prints orange now.

I’ve used several “off-brands” for ink and often find that they’ve worked fine. However, in using these my printer now prints out everything in orange. Specifically, with my Adobe software, even if I do the print in black and white, or I do a black over-lay, everything prints orange.

This is a bummer, especially since I am printing transparencies that are all black. Like all majestic printers, mine refuses to work when I don’t have ink in it for a color that I’m not using, so I wouldn’t care if the ink cartridges themselves were crappy, but these cartridges are over-riding the system and forcing orange. The only think that I can think of is that the chip that is on the top of the cartridges are mis-applied and maybe my printer thinks that it is using black ink instead of the orange?

Who knows, but it’s a bummer. I wouldn’t recommend to anyone.
