How customer reviews and ratings work

Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.

To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzed reviews to verify trustworthiness.

5.0 out of 5 starsSuper easy to install and comes with all you need, not sure of some reviews.
Reviewed in the United States on March 30, 2021
I read some of these reviews and many claim to be computer techs and must not really be as this COMES WITH EVERYTHING you need to install it and configure the Nvidia drivers. You do NOT have to go and look for the drivers yourself like many claim, they ARE right THERE on the installation disc.

I put the card in, which is simple like we all know, turned the computer on, inserted the CD it came with, it installed whatever, rebooted again, the screen changed for the better as the new drivers worked. Then I configured some of the special Nvidia settings. Could not be simpler, just do not overclock this much as it WILL lockup, just did it myself. :>

First to be CLEAR, gaming cards are $350-$1000, this is not, so do not expect any "real" gaming performance. This is basically just a slightly better card to replace the built in internal Intel graphics chip. Nothing more really, a little better than internal graphics and frees up the ram some as it has its own ram and doesn't have to share, so that alone if a good thing.

2.0 out of 5 starsNOT for gaming
Reviewed in the United States on August 17, 2018
If you think swapping out your 1GB gaming card for a 4GB card, this is NOT for you. One cannot get even 20 fps on most games, even with the game settings down to minimums. The one GB card I had, using the combination of overclocks and cpu tricks anyone can find, ran the same games at 30 fps with medium settings. There's a reason those 4GB cards for gamers are 6x the cost of this, do your research first. Everywhere I double checked brought up that this is basically functioning like a 1GB card with ride along storage to allow streaming of video, still graphics work, but it can't handle gaming, expect to spend at least 3x the cost of this card for even midstream gamers, 6x for over 30fps and 3D or 60fps with medium for most, example, steam games.

5.0 out of 5 stars Graphics card fits ok ......
Reviewed in the United States on February 22, 2018

Solution's I found based on other review complaint's
--------------------------
- Issue -
The vga does not fit due to the socket being too close to the edge of the desktop cover.

- Solution -
when having the dvi connected / not and the graphics card is connected (you put it on your motherboard)' just push the dvi socket to the side a little bit while at the same time connecting your vga cable. It will move a little bit, giving enough space to connect the vga.
--------------------
- Issue -
windows 10 updates keeps messing with the graphics card installation and I can't get it to work

- Solution -
turn your windows 10 automatic updates off before installing the drivers, turn it all off.
----------------------
- Issue -
when installing the drivers, it doesn't work on the main screen, it does nothing

- Solution -
on the main install screen select browse the CD --- driver --- your operating system --- setup.exe (install drivers from there)
-----------------------

DISCLAIMER:
Please be aware that after i added and installed my graphics card that it did raise the temperature of my cpu and motherboard a bit, due to the cpu and motherboard working to it's full capacity like it should / it simply working harder to make the "upgrades" work the way they should. Be sure you know how to keep your desktop temperature down if this happens. Hopefully this helped many of you.

2.0 out of 5 stars Buggy in Win10
Reviewed in the United States on July 30, 2018

I've tried the card in 2 Win10 computers and it has been very buggy. I'm using the latest drivers from Nvidia. One problem is the computer will not always wake from screen saver and a reboot is required. The computers will also occasionally go black during use which also requires a reboot. I've had issues with video playback appearing black. I've also had problems with video editing. The lack of a fan makes the card quiet, but it also runs very hot. I've tried it in an i5 and a older core 2. All the problems went away when I switched to Radeon cards. If you're running Win7 you might have better luck.

4.0 out of 5 stars Decent workstation card
Reviewed in the United States on March 14, 2020

Bought this card because I upgraded my monitor and needed a new card to take the new monitor to its full potential (2560x1440). I wanted a card that only took up only one PCI slot, didn't require any extra power beyond what the PCI express slot provided and was fanless. I can confirm that this card works flawlessly under Linux Mint 19.1, no extra drivers had to be downloaded. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because the heatsink is too thick and blocks access to the 32 bit PCI slot next to the PCI express16 slot it sits in. This card makes a great upgrade if you don't really care about high performance gaming but want a good workstation card. Just for the record my boat anchor is a Super Micro X6DAL-TB2 with 2 3.6 GHz Intel Xeons, 12 GB Registered ECC RAM, 2 TB on the RAID controller and Linux Mint 19.1 64 bit.

5.0 out of 5 stars If you need dead quiet, lower profile and low power, this is it.
Reviewed in the United States on January 8, 2016

So I was looking for a quiet card to drive a 4K tv I am using as a monitor; The other caveat is that it needed to be powered by the motherboard with no external power. This thing is like 26 watts under full stress. This is NOT the fastest card and your not going to be playing the newest games on this at any resolution BUT it does a great job for normal apps, some 4k movie bits and videos from whatever. This accomplished everything I needed in 4k @ 60 hz.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great for discrete graphics for PS2021 update
Reviewed in the United States on July 16, 2021

My wife's Acer Aspire TC-895 had been running the most recent versions of Photoshop without issue, until the most recent (June 2021) upgrade; everything would work fine, but if she tried to use Liquefy, it crashed the program. Adobe support was able to look at her system info and determined that she needed a discrete graphics card with at least 2GB RAM in order to run the latest update.

I agonized for days about which card to get, especially with the insane prices given the semiconductor shortage. I finally settled on this one, given the balance between price and features. Yes, it only has DDR3 RAM, but it has 4GB. Yes, it only has passive cooling, but the max wattage is relatively low and the case on this computer has tons of airspace and a large vent down by the PCIe slots. Yes, it only has 3 ports (1 each for RGB, HDMI, and DVI), but she only runs a single monitor setup.

I can happily report that with this card, the latest version of Photoshop (22.4.2) now runs well, no glitches, no crashes. If you're a non-gamer, intermediate user who mostly does Photoshop work for your photography business, this is a perfectly cromulent graphics card.

3.0 out of 5 stars Cannot handle high texture or complex rendering
Reviewed in the United States on December 21, 2021

This card has the ability to render high quality textures and graphics, OR it can produce moderate to high frame rates - BUT NOT AT THE SAME TIME.
I bought this card specifically as a test. I was building a PC for a family member, and they wanted to be able to play Fortnite on this PC. They were a beginner and was interested in playing with some family members. I installed the card, updated drivers and software, and then installed Fortnite. With all video settings at LOW - the card would allow me to play Fortnite at approximately 30-45fps. The card was playable, and motion was smooth enough for me to win 1st place on my first try. I then moved all video settings to HIGH and the frame rate dropped into the single-digits, and was completely useless. I ended up with all video settings on LOW but bumping up the texture slider to 50% and was able to play with an average 25-30fps with a little video latency - but not horrible.

THIS IS NOT A GAMING CARD - but it *can* play games, if you make it (and have low expectations)

5.0 out of 5 stars One of the best 4GB graphics card today.
Reviewed in the United States on January 27, 2021

I was searching for 5 days to find the value this card offers.
This graphics card works perfect with my:

HP compaq dc5750 small form factor which has 4GB ddr2 ram/ single core 2.20Ghz AMD Athlon 64bit 3500+ /
I also put this in my
HP Pavilion p6-2220t which has 8GB ddr3 ram/ 2.7Ghz quad core i5

This company has probably created the best 4GB graphics card for the price and value offered for computing.
I am happy and absolutely recommend.

5.0 out of 5 stars Pretty decend video card
Reviewed in the United States on February 2, 2019

The reason I looked for a video card - the one installed on the motherboard does not correct. I was looking for not very expensive video card with VGA and HDMI output - and found this one. I was confused by a relatively big amount of bad reviews for the card, but took a chance and bought it. I do not regret - it works fine with great quality if the pictures and movies, and I rate it as 5 stars. The only thing I cannot estimate - if it's good for gaming.
