Yes, all you say in Exodus 30:31-33 concerning not making a blend for yourself or anointing something other than the temple / tabernacle and all therin or someone other than a priest WAS true in the Old Testament. However, please realize that we are under Christ now.

Upon his sacrifice, CHRIST DESTROYED THE TEMPLE AND THE LEVITICAL PRIESTHOOD that was under Aaron and his descendants right along with it.

Since Christ destroyed the temple.... under Christ, WE ARE THE TEMPLE NOW. According to 1 Corinthians 3:17, the "temple of God is HOLY". We are COMMANDED to anoint the "HOLY" temple / tabernacle with "HOLY Anointing Oil" ๐Ÿ‘‡ ๐Ÿ‘‡

1 Corinthians 3:16-17 (KJV)
โœ”16 Know ye not that ๐Ÿ‘‰YE ARE THE TEMPLE OF GOD, ๐Ÿ‘ˆ and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?

โœ”17 If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for ๐Ÿ‘‰THE TEMPLE OF GOD IS HOLY, ๐Ÿ‘ˆ which ๐Ÿ‘‰TEMPLE YE ARE. ๐Ÿ‘ˆ

โœ” Exodus 40:9 (KJV) And thou shalt take the ๐Ÿ‘‰ANOINTING OIL,๐Ÿ‘ˆ and ๐Ÿ‘‰ANOINT THE TABERNACLE, AND ALL THAT IS THEREIN,๐Ÿ‘ˆ and shalt hallow it, and all the vessels thereof: and ๐Ÿ‘‰IT SHALL BE HOLY.๐Ÿ‘ˆ

In addition under Christ, WE ARE THE PRIESTS NOW. ๐Ÿ‘‡ ๐Ÿ‘‡

Revelation 1:6 (KJV)
And ๐Ÿ‘‰HATH MADE US KINGS AND PRIESTS ๐Ÿ‘ˆ unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

Revelation 5:10 (KJV)
And ๐Ÿ‘‰HAST MADE US UNTO OUR GOD KINGS AND PRIESTS: ๐Ÿ‘ˆ and we shall reign on the earth.

1 Peter 2:9 (KJV)
But ye are a chosen generation, ๐Ÿ‘‰A ROYAL PRIESTHOOD, ๐Ÿ‘ˆ an ๐Ÿ‘‰HOLY NATION,๐Ÿ‘ˆ a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light;

So according to the New Testament, ANYONE (now is a priest) who can anoint ANYONE (since we are the temple now, the temple is "HOLY" and gentiles were grafted in).

Also, there are verses in the New Testament where people were being "anointed with oil" to heal the sick, cast out demons, while fasting etc.? Exactly WHAT combination of ingredients were being used in those verses since the Most High God only has ONE formula for his holy anointing oil?

โœ”Mark 6:13 (KJV) And they ๐Ÿ‘‰CAST OUT MANY DEVILS,๐Ÿ‘ˆ and ๐Ÿ‘‰ANOINTED WITH OIL๐Ÿ‘ˆmany that ๐Ÿ‘‰WERE SICK, AND HEALED THEM.๐Ÿ‘ˆ

โœ”James 5:14 (KJV) ๐Ÿ‘‰IS ANY SICK AMONG YOU?๐Ÿ‘ˆ let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, ๐Ÿ‘‰ANOINTING HIM WITH OIL๐Ÿ‘ˆ in the name of the Lord:

โœ”Matthew 6:17 (KJV) But thou, when thou fastest, ๐Ÿ‘‰ANOINT THINE HEAD,๐Ÿ‘ˆ and wash thy face;

When Jesus died on the cross and rose again on third day, he reconciled us to God himself, 2 Corinthians 5:19.
This wonderful reconciliation allowed us to intercede on behalf of others, bringing their names before ABBA Father, which would have been something only priests would do back in the old testament. This was called a "sin offering". This 'sin offering', is now the blood of Jesus.
Hope this helps! see less

In Exodus 30: 23-33 the anointing oil was directed by GOD. In the New Testament 5 passages refer to the practice of anointing with oil : Matthew 6:17 , Mark 6:13 , Mark 14: 3-9 , James 5:14 and Hebrews 1: 8-9 refer to anointing with oil. Maybe this will help answer your question.

The Biblical prohibition is to grind the spices into a powder form and burn them on the Incense Altar.
With regard to all the claims of the Temple being superceded by the Church that is Pauline mythology.
