I just wrote Fruit of the Loom Customer Service about the shirt's weight and they replied that they are 5.2 ounces. That's on the fairly heavy end of the range. I personally am looking for a lighter weight v-neck for summer as a sleeping shirt, and have found Next Level to be what I'm looking for. They're 4.3 oz. and have a pocket and are extremely soft--but run around $7.50 apiece. These FoL v-necks are heavier and w/o the pocket and are fine shirts at a much cheaper price. Just depends on what you're looking for. :-) see less I just wrote Fruit of the Loom Customer Service about the shirt's weight and they replied that they are 5.2 ounces. Just heavy enough that it is not see through. Fabric is very soft so to me it feels thicker than it really is. Good for hot climates. Very breathable.

Its regular - just like tshirts. My husband loves the extra length. They are not cheap thin material and it's not thick and heavy.

I would say medium weight. Nice weight for under a regular button shirt or sport shirt. My husband likes the feel and fit of this T- shirt.
