I purchased this protection plan for headphones but did not receive an email or physical mail with them... do I need to register the headphones?

You shouldn't have to register the product for the plan to work. They should have sent you an email, though. However I never used the email. I had to file a claim, and what I did was go into my Amazon orders, and click on the plan itself and it will give you directions on how to file a claim. Basically, you just go to asurion.com/amazon and it walks you through the process.
