Can one probe measure temperature inside the barbeque and one for the meat?

I'm not sure. I don't know if the temperature range for the device is high enough, unless you are only barbecueing at low temperatures -- like below 200 deg. F. The description describes the device as heat resistant to 716 deg. F but I don't know if it reports temperature that high, or just can sustain them.

Yes, thats exactly what I did in my smoker; one inside the meat and the other just in the grill measuring temperature. Both read respective different temperatures.
