1 lb = 16 oz. there would be 16 in a lb according to the box weight. We give one at night at bedtime, so we have 36 days worth. 36 count/36oz. I hope this helps

Our dog had rotten, infected teeth when we adopted him, so I'm not sure about the tarter. They did help his breath some but it was still pretty awful. He had most of them pulled and has a Greenie a day now. The breath is not great but it is bearable. I can tell if he has missed a day!
