Answer:
this was milk chocolate - i would recommend the dark chocolate though - the milk chocolate was too sweet for the items being dipped (fruit, cookies, marshmallows, pretzels...)

Answer:
We purchased 2 bags for 65 people. But more than 1/3 were children. The melting wafers I purchase online worked perfectly. I always use the regular Wilton melting wafers for making treats and never had a problem. But I did not use the regular one in the fondue yet!

Answer:
You can melt this in the microwave, in fact to use the fountain you have to melt the chocolate first. If you just want to melt it in the microwave and dip fondue treats in that way, that is certainly fine! Please note that it won't harden on treats like candy melts would and is best for dipping and eating right away.

Answer:
I didn’t even look for one. They arrived and I used them within 2 days. If they are white or an ash color when you open them, do not use them!

Answer:
We would recommend using the chocolate fountain only a few hours at a time. If the candy is in the machine for too long, it may start to overheat and thicken. The chocolate should be pre-melted before adding to the fountain.
