This is needed to be able to connect a bicycle and Scwinn or inStep trailer. I had to buy this because I bought an inStep trailer/ stroller secondhand and it was missing this piece. It works well on my 29" Ironhorse Sinister.

With a date code ending in AB (12) - you'll need a flat 'figure eight' coupler. You can find a coupler (25-SA074A) here on Amazon. Thanks

The manufacturer states that it only fits the Schwinn and InStep brand trailers manufactured after October 25, 2016, series AF (including all series AG, AH, AI).

I had to google the difference also. I believe there is a certain date, if it was manufactured before a certain date you need a flat one. Unsure of the date though, I’m sorry. I imagine you need a angle. Hope this helps!
