The maximum length of a USB cable is specified as 5 meters (just under 15 feet). Any longer than that and you will be at risk of signal loss. If you want to go longer than 5 meters, you need to use a powered USB extension cable like this one: http://www.amazon.com/IOGEAR-Booster-Extension-Cable-GUE2118/dp/B003K1L85C

Yes long as it's. USB. I use for everything. Look at it like using an extension cord for an electrical cord but its an USB extension cord.

It is only a 10 ft cable, but if what you're plugging into has another cable another 5+ft long you should be good.

This is an extension cable so you can plug in your existing cable to one end and the other end to the charging outlet (or computer). So if your kindle fire cable unplugs from the wall charger then yes it will work.
