This wire kit is designed to hard wire to fuse panel and hide wire if you don't want to use supplied plug into lighter plug. I hate wires hanging all around the vehicle. I mounted radar detector to windshield and ran this kit dropping down from headliner nice clean install and you're not using up a lighter socket
When I looked up the hard wire kit it did not list your model number but it says "and all other current models"at the end of the list. You have either two ways to do it ..you could either
1.connect it to your device then run it down your front windshield and into the firewall of the car to your battery
2. Buy the cigarette lighter attachment with this for easy connection
There is a significant chance that this kit is not compatible with your model Cobra Radar Detector. Carefully read the product description, which is where all compatible models are listed. If you cannot find your model, then this kit definitely will not work
