Answer:
They're pretty much all the same. There are some devices (cameras, etc.) which do NOT have the quarter inch, 20 threads per inch socket on them. Usually "pro" equipment has a three-eighths, 16 TPI socket. So unless your device is really expensive, chances are really, really good this is what you need.

Answer:
I just received the 60" tripod and with it I ordered the ARMRA version of the quick release plate. It fits fine. No filing of edges required. Or at least, the one I received fit just fine. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06XJ38YKG/

Answer:
You can remove it. I did by wiggling it out. Then I discovered that turning the screw instead of turning the mount. Actually it is to hold the camera in place instead of it slipping

Answer:
I haven’t had any issues panning with video. It’s not professional quality but it is definitely smooth enough for me. Adjust the handle as you pan.

It will if you purchase a smartphone adapter. It will hold a iPad with an iPad/tablet adapter and will work with any camera that has an tripod mount connection.

Answer:
Legs are made of aluminum. Overall, it is pretty sturdy. Good deal for the price. I have not tried it with a digitial camera that has a large, interchangeable lens, though. Mine are basic Cool Pix for my classroom, a Sony Cybershot and small camcorders.

Yes. Your camera has a 1/4-20 socket on the bottom so it will work fine with your camera. Another note: the tripod is light weight which is great for carrying it around but not so much when you're wanting a rock solid shooting platform. A plus for this tripod is that it has a hook on the bottom of the center column. So… see more Yes. Your camera has a 1/4-20 socket on the bottom so it will work fine with your camera.
