if you have other remotes in the home, can either remote control the lights? are all of the lightbulbs/ remotes run off the same frequency? or are they infared?

No, you shouldn't have any trouble. We control three at a time on our track lights with no problem, and they're spaced much farther apart than they would be in a ceiling fan. Keep in mind that you will likely need another light source for when you need brighter light in the room.

Oddly, the lumens rating is nowhere on the box, or on the bulb. I assume this is because it's not considered primary lighting. The bulb itself says 5W, which is less than half the typical LED rating for a 40W replacement, which fits in well with the main purpose of the bulb, which is just decorative.

Oddly, the lumens rating is nowhere on the box, or on the bulb. I assume this is because it's not considered primary lighting. The bulb itself says 5W, which is less than half the typical LED rating for a 40W replacement, which fits in well with the main purpose of the bulb, which is just decorative.
According to the box: "Applications: Decorative lighting, mood lighting, landscape lighting, downlighting and so on."
In other words, it's not intended to replace an incandescent bulb, so it's not nearly as light, but it does add a nice warm glow to a room. In my case, I bought mine to change the room color for photography. see less

Whatever mode you had it on before turning it off. The bulb can remember.

Hey Paul - It is IR (infra red) direct line of sight - I get about 20 feet with mine - definitely won't work through walls or doors - that would have to be RF (radio freq.) I hope this helped.

I'm sure it would work. YouTube it. I bought the light 2 years ago and it's still going. The only downfall is that it's not very bright.
