Answer:
Not sure what you mean by securing to the "pole" but the net goes on the tabs inside the hoop and then the tabs are folded over and snap securely around the loops of the net. I was a little confused at first too as the directions don't tell you this.

Answer:
I tightly wrapped some duct tape around the orange locking mechanism, forcing it to more securely lock into the desired groove. This is a weak point in the design, but at least this is a simple work around. Otherwise a very nice basketball hoop for young kids.

Answer:
Turn it upside-down or backwards. That’s what happened to me. (I forced it in only to realize it was backwards.)

Answer:
Hi- it doesn't say on the details, but my son had one for ages 1-4 and it fit a regular size basketball and it was the same brand. So I'm guessing it would.

Answer:
If the kids pull on it, it will tip. BUT--there's a hole in the back you can fill with sand or water. You can make it virtually untippable. Probably would want it outside if you fill the base though. It's actually pretty sturdy.

Answer:
From the product info: "Fill the basketball hoop base with up to 2.5 gal. (9.5 L) of water or up to 30 lbs. (13.6 kg.) of sand to weigh it down."
Typically play sand is sold in 50 lbs bags so you would need less than one bag of sand.

Answer:
We gave it to our grandson at 2. He is now 5. He and his two year old brother still use it. Very sturdy. Stands up to frequent use. A good buy for us.

Yes, it comes with one basketball. I did purchase an extra set though.
