The North American version of *Yellow Pikachu* n3DS XL was available starting Feb 24, 2017, so if anyone else has this question, pay attention to the date of the reviews and answers.
I bought this product from GAMES NETWORK and can confirm it is the NA model.

Scalpers are people who are logged into online stores 24/7 and buy out 3+ of something with value and resell it on another online store for $500+ more dollars than the original retail price. They're really annoying and will rip you off, don't buy into them, it only encourages them.

Yes. 2 days ago, i saw that the new nintendo 3ds xl costed $174.99 and there were like 32 consoles like that in stock. a minute ago, amazon told me that i can have an OLD console for $179.99. those scalpers are pretty much the reason i had to go for psvita which does not have 3d feature and have sky high memory card price

No. But If you still have your charger from your previous Nintendo DSI-XL it will charge the 3DS XL. Also, I noticed it's longer than the ones you buy for this console.

The 3ds plays ds games, but will not show up 3d, because they are just normal dsl games

Yes it would be better to buy in your home country. The 3ds is region locked, so it will only play games made to be sold in your region.
