Answer:
Get XL or 2XL depending on which size clothing you usually wear. I'm a 38G, usually wear Large or XL, but these are asian sizes. The 3XL was perfect for me. Order 2 sizes up to ensure it will fit at the bust. It has a long back zipper that should help.

I'm usually a small/medium, measured myself, and to be safe, got a medium... it does look a little big, but I threw a belt around the waist, and with the belt, it doesn't look big on me at all.

You do not need a petticoat with this dress, but it does make the appearance of the dress more authentic. I personally love to wear petticoats with any dress that has a full skirt. With my Grace Karin dress (size 4X Plus) I prefer to wear two Grace Karin petticoats (also size 4X Plus) for added fullness. Answer:
These dresses are for women of all ages -- I am older than you and love to wear these dresses! You may want to pick the particular color that looks best on you, but the full skirt with a petticoat or two does more to cover any figure imperfections below the waist much better than a pair of Spanx or even a girdle.

I don't think it looks or feels cheap. But it is also not too dressy, as it would not be dressy enough for a guest at a formal wedding. I would be very comfortable wearing it for a garden tea. Petticoats are still not commonly worn where I live, but are still viewed as retro dressing. It is a fun dress see less
