You don't actually fold it - the pack is inverted - stuffed - back into the original pouch and zippered closed -

This bag is ideal for hiking. As long as your aren't planning on carrying campsite items it can fit whatever personal items. It's water resistant so it's what I use up here in the Pacific Northwest.

If you are referring to a separate bladder space for liquid, no. The inside is one open chamber.

I think it would be enough for her. I use it as a weekend travel, even did a 5-6 day travel to Orlando theme park. I did used packing cubes to help me minimize.

There is not. It stuffs into a pouch so the manufactures would not have been able to add padding. There is however a ouch on the inside of the main compartment where you can add your own padding or a water bladder. I only use the bag as a day bag when I go on vacation or go hunting, so I have not had to carry it for ex… see more There is not. This is not 40L backpack, this is 25L. Stated measurements are wrong. In reality it is 22.8 x 10.7 x 6.3 = 1537 cubic inches or 25.2 Liters
