The two items are both new and introduced this spring. The Hushh locks so baby can't raise the volume and hurt tiny ears. The Hushh also has a night light that the Rohm does not. Further, the Hushh has a clip to go on strollers, carseats, etc. The Rohm has a lanyard. The lanyard is a potential choking hazard on a "baby" item. Just contact Marpac if we can be of service.

I would NOT recommend this as the nursery sound machine.
We used ours as a travel-only (airplane, hotel, grandparents house etc) sound machine and kept it in our diaper bag for about 9 months. It’s a great for that! The last 6 months we’ve used it plugged in as our 2nd baby’s sound machine & it has now DIED. The batt… see more

It charges with a mini-USB end, so it should charge with any USB charger, even in the car.
As long as you get an adapter for the power outlet, sure why not?

Answer:
Mine did the same thing. So I remove the yellow been down in the bottom . Was able to find 4 screws. Remove the screws and opened it up. Once it was open I remove the three screws from the circuit board and unplug the battery and plugged it back in. It has been working just fine since that major reset.

This has happened to us to. Bought in in July 2021 and now Mar 22 it won’t charge anymore. We did use it continuously every night and for 2 naps in the day and it was always plugged in. Too late to return or exchange through Amazon, so I now have plastic garbage essentially unless I find a way to repair it.
